Cool stuff! I mean, still heretical and all, but the mighty Inqusition is going to overlook your treachery so long as it continues to look this awesome!

Look like Para beat me to the filthy Xeno joke. You do realize that Tau aren’t battle brother allies anymore?

Looks very crisp and clean. Could use some bolter holes and/or a lascannon/plasma shot right through the chest.

I kid, looks awesome.

Heheheh oh you two
Tau and smurfs still have that lovely bond to me
Besides i'd rather Tau than inquisition, something fishy about those buggers...especially Knightleys... seem to be attacking my ultramarines a whole lot.
Thanks for the feedback guys, really appreciate your loyalty

Wow, awesome painting!
Don't think I have ever seen "standard" Tau in the Ta'u camo-scheme done this good outside of GWs own figures, way to go man! I love seeing me some "camo"-tau, too many of the bright "Gundam" type out there... Keep on painting, I can't wait to see them roll out! (Also, never, never ever go to FW and look under Tau... The awesome, it hurts and it will kill any mans wallet )

Ah I see you have been slightly seduced by the greater good, perhaps that is why Kinightleys armies keep showing up

My brother runs a Tau army, so I am quite used to seeing them across the table from me melting my bugs.

Your paintjob is much nicer than his though (he did his when he was 15), I'm going to send him this so he gets off his backside and repaints his army.

@hemmis92 Sweet! That feedback means the world man, yea FW is a place that i'm scared to venture ahahaha
@Mad.. Heheh nothing wrong with a bunch of blue space communists also if it serves as any form of motivation for your brother I am 17 years old

Update - tried to take some more pictures, wouldn't call them better, but they're more dynamic atleast. Also they include a miniature which i'm very excited to paint, though he'll have to wait until I finish some warriors

Nice work on the tyranid food

Hard on the outside, nice and squishy in the middle.

But seriously, that's a nice looking squad

Yo yo!
So I when mental almost all of yesterday and painted practically the entirety of this fire warrior squad (they had some basecoats already applied and I put on some final touches this morning) I'm pleased with the result, they're the grunts of me force so I didn't want anything golden deamon standard, but they'll do just fine for me I'm happy with how the bare heads came out, and am looking forward to adding more painted miniatures to the force to build on it's aesthetic, which I think is coming along nicely

More on the way,

I'm so envious of your line work. Just for a grunt they look great. Really like how you did the faces. Would like a breakdown of how you did it. Please.

Wow, great work on the grunts!
"I'm not looking for a golden deamon standard" he says, then proceeds to making perfect line highlights like it aint nuthin'
But seriously, love the care taken with even the infantry models
Ohhh, Broadside, I love fielding those... Put on some Velocity Trackers and watch "The Flying French Bakery" get blown away as they come in, or just point them at anything you want dead, like, REALLY dead!
(SMS for added annoyance for non-Tau players, haha )

Yo yo! Sorry i've been out of touch for a while, went on a road trip with my brother for a great many days, but i'm now back into the hobby and going strong! I assembled my sunshark bomber that i've had sitting around for a long time, and assembled a new Shas'ui for my XV8 Crisis team, did a ton of customisation to get a dynamic pose because the old suits and SO dynamic, also added plastic to the legs to make him taller. Additionally, my commander got himself a bodyguard team
Lots of modelling done, and also a little painting, I layered the Broadside and then highlighted the ochre.

A bodyguard of Crisis-Enforcers? Wow, thats one high-standing Commander That, or the Cadres Ethereal is just REALLY into tech!
Personally I cant say I like the Enforcer suit too much, I mean I love the LOOK of it, and I use it as my commander-suit, but god dang it's hard to repose that thing! And the standard pose is just "meh" in my opinion...

Love the pose on the standard suit though, I cut into the legs of mine as well to avoid that "Beep-boop-I'm-a-robot"-look... Only one thing, you planning on putting some more filler on his base? Right now it looks a BIT like he is balancing on that bent piece of debris

Road trips with brothers are always fun. Where did you go? Anywhere in particular or just to see the country side.

Looking forward to seeing some paint on your sunshark!

@Nev thanks a bunch buddy
@Paradigm appreciate it
@Hemmis yea this commander is one of the big boys. Although when they're all painted up the one on the left will probably end up being the commander. I'm a fan of the default crisis enforcer pose, it's nice and dynamic, but those legs really restrict posability aye, such a shame because the rest of the kit can be greatly changed. Thanks for the feedback! And yes I can add some rocks and such to the base, it doesn't look so precarious in person, the angle of the shot may contribute to that
@Went down to Wellington from Auckland with a Taupo stopoff both ways, it was a good time. Part of me is too, but part isn't. gunna try the tau vehicular camo schemes on the site, but it's going to be hell! Hahaha but a good experience either way.

Nice paint job, but the visible mold lines totally ruin your effort. The extended hand from enforcer on regular crisis looks odd on just one arm.

Mold lines that I've seen: Fire warrior arm, antenna on crisis, shoulder pad on commander...

Hello all
It saddens me to announce that since my move to a hall of residence to attend University in Wellington, I longer have the the space to continue to painting and modelling aspect of the hobby :( I have however brought my army case with my Ultramarines inside and will try to squeeze some batreps in here and there, but I can't guarantee much. My painting and modelling will continue towards the end of the year. Thank you all for loyally following my blog and keeping me motivated, all the best for your painting endeavours
