Very cool Theophony!- is it like construction paper? or does it have a sort of plasticized coating?

The yeld is one of the two poses made by GW. The other one I have. Found yesterday in my bits box dive is missing both arms .

I was thinking of painting them in standard American highway signage green with white lettering. It ill have some exit listed ahead and o course graffiti.

As I am tentively calling it "the Roost", the meeting spot for my spryer gang, I plan on using parts from the zombie and skeleton sprues to have the left over kills scattered around the base. Also going to use the hanging torso and dangle it between the signs. Give newcomers to the underhive a warning of what to expect.

So far from the box dive I've found 1.5 yelds, 2 Jakara, 3 malcadons (1 missing its claws but fixable), and 2 orrus. I found some other nifties as well. Didn't realize I had that many rat skins, delinquent or others.

Some are taking baths in super clean in my ultrasonic cleaner, and maybe well see some spray primer this week.

Worked on another bridge last night as the wife went to sleep early and the kids watched their movie while I cut and watched avengers.

@dave. So much stiffer than construction paper. Almost like a thin layer of metal on it. Doesn't feel like plastic to me, and the backing tears since its paper.

Well, not much done today. Brother in law and family are just leaving. Finished a Game of bloodbowl, and my lizardmen reign supreme. Beat the orcs down hardcore. Will probably get some work. Done after I get the kids to bed, have an idea that hit as we were leaving for church then did family time all day.

Hi Theo! Thanks for stopping by earlier! You caught me in a moment of weakness but your words were kind. I figured I'd take my own advice and spread some love here! I'm a total loser at plasticard and terrain building so pretty much all I can offer up is awe and respect for some serious Modelling. Love the necro builds and it would be a joy to play on them. Ill be checking in to see the progress and hopefully learn a thing or eight!

@vik,they're clementines actually, some genetically altered child of oranges and tangerines I believe. I haven't eten enough lately and probably why I was sick this weekend. And yes, now at 190 bulkheads .

@hyenajoe, I'm glad someone hates me for being something other than beautiful

Been busy with other stuff today, mainly yard work, but some school stuff too, and job hunting .

But here's some fun stuff

Based loot counters. More to come soonish.

Primed spryer gang members. Not sure of the mix yet, there is another in the super clean bath, but since I hate them, I won't even need this one.

Also a quick elevator, still needs work, but it has magnets behind the x's and. Magnet on the back of the harness. I'll make a small square base for underneath the passenger, and hen step off areas. Each x winds up at. Different story so it worked out great.

Also making a power station, just need to find a 3" round ball. I know that hobby lobby has some foam ones, but I don't want it to melt when/if I spray it. Clear plastic that plaits in half would be great. I'll have to check the size o hamster balls (don't be sick), or the plastic autographed baseball holders. If anyone has some suggestions let me know. Colored balls would be fine. (I kno I should typ globes around here but balls is faster.

Close up of "dancing with the spryer's" host in the background

Also just saw this thread in news and rumors. They just posted some ork defense lines that could make some quick necromunda barriers.

http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/517996.page

Why am I hearing Lionel Ritchie singing "dancing on the ceiling"?

Well if you want to encourage people to hate you, playing Spyrers is the way to go.

Having just bought a hamster ball today (and currently trying to resist the temptation to combine Necromunda scenery with my girlfriend's hamster cage) I think they are a bit bigger than 3" but they do have extra detailing that you won't get by cutting in half a plain ball of some sort.

Your scenery is coming on very quickly, I admire that! Have you got plans for painting it as fast? I have a few tricks I learned that I can share, when you get to that stage.

Oh and thanks for the tips on the ork barricade things, I might get some for my ash waste terrain (even though they look like they would take 20mins to build yourself, I'm getting lazy).

@bruticus, it may be hard to believe after seeing the accomplishments of the last week, but I'm lazy too. The only thing I don't like about the ork barricades is the glyphs. If it were unadorned then I'd be all over them. Looks like I just found a use for lots of scrap plastic card.

Did some more diving though bits boxes

Candor and scaavies, enough for small bands of each. Sold my scaleys, so I'll have to improvise if I decide to do those. Candor just never grabbed me either, probably why they are in a different box than everyone else. Did find a pit fighter and another malcadons (4) and a assassin that I converted to a infernus spryer that someone cooked the rules up.

Also found 7 barrels, knew they were somewhere. Dug out a couple more of the force field fence that I'll used for power line poles. Gas cans and other gibbons.

Playing with magnets now so the one malcadons won't be lonely

@Vik Not sure which base you are talking about, but if its the item next to number 7, then I believe it came from the battle for maccragge box set.

Hamster all popped into my head while I was typing my post yesterday. No idea that bruticus was buying one at the time. Or maybe my psyker powers were working too good and I just didn't know it guess ill have to watch out for the black ships and the sisters of silence now .

You have no idea how much oop junk I have. Before I got married I lived at home and all my money went to GW. At one point I had an army of every faction for 40k and most fantasy armies. Traded and sold most of them including a 100+ model adeptus arbites army.

@dave send me your address in pm, I need me some hobby karma

So this is how my desk looks every morning when I wake up and go look at it.....

I think to myself "who the messed everything up?", then I remember my sleep converting madness and look at what I made while sleeping.

Last nights works

Some barricades. They'll do for now, hopefully I'll make more while sleeping tonight.

Also a closer pic of the imperial ATM. With emperor card logo on the front. "Don't leave the imperium or else"

Don't know where the rifle toting woman is from but found the other two in the bitz. They are original limited edition figs fom Newwave Games, now CMON. I ordered them and one iron warriors stuff years ago and then they went defunct and stole over $100.00 from me. Not much but it still stings every time I think about it.

Worked a little on my elevator. Here's the back side, might add some guitar strings to it later for cabling.

Here's a side shot.

And here is the front. Added the mesh back and a floor to it.

The middle magnet is a little off from where it should be, but I'll just chalk it up to mechanical failure and anyone uses I t there own risk.

You know if GW built a model for it it would be on the large oval base, but still somehow not be big enough to carry a marine. But the idea of a ten marine bike does sound fantastic.

Taking a hick break from modeling, watching a movie with my feet kicked up. Will knock something out later today though....maybe.

Yep... You and I are going to have to agree to disagree on this one. Love the look, the history he wrote for the background needs a little work, but I think it's a good start.

Anyway, was hoping to get some inspiration from my movie....didn't happen.

Played around with some inks, first time with a brush in over 8+ months, and wanting to try something out. Not too thrilled with the results yet, but I'll see how I feel about it late tonight when I get home. The kids have a fundraiser for their school this evening, so well go there right after I pick them up.

Tomorrow will be another fun day at the grandparents taking 50+ year old garbag out of their basement, so probably not a whole lot will get accomplished.

Thursday I have my final exam and am a little behind on getting my work done for class. Will have to devote time to get that finished, may treat myself to some modeling time IF I get everything done.

Also have to do more job hunting in there somewhere.

On a weather note. It has been raining all day. Glad I got yard work done yesterday, and models primed. The Mississippi was 9' over flood stage Heard on the radio this morning while taking th kids to school, this rain won't help that. I'm going to check to see if they're looking for sandbaggers anywhere, always good to help out.

Hey..sandbagging can make you famous!

Ronald Reagan showed up here during a flood in 1982, after cutting federal Flood Control funding...he helped lift about a dozen sandbags, enough for a photo-op, and now we have a damn highway named after him.

@silver thanks
@dave I think he may have been famous beforehand, I think he worked at ponderosa. Never ate there but my dad speaks fondly of it.
@vik watched gijoe rise of cobra, wanted to see it again before seeing the new one in the theatre. I forgot how bad the characters were. And who thought to mold lips onto snakeeyes mask ?

I'm nowhere near the flooding areas. Would sandbag out of the goodness of that empty part of my chest.

Nothing to loot at my grandparents, mostly trash and bags. Poppy runs his business out of his basement so I was finding bills and ledgers from the early nineteen eighties. Only real cool thing I saw he said he wanted to keep as a momento of a friend. It was a d6 that was about 4" square that slid apart as a hiding spot.

Okay so the basic idea I have for the power plant will be this set up.

The top piece will have the 3" diameter ball spliced with half being above the floor and half below. A tower will go down from the ball all the way o the floor. A second pipeline will com down next to the first tower, but will be much smaller in diameter. The ball will have one o two pipes coming off o it and will go over to the black tower and then to the power Line holders that will be on the outside of the tower. On o the lower levels needs to be the old control room. The other I have no idea for as of yet.

If my posts are hard to follow it's because I use my iPad for everything and it misses half the letters I type. I'm actually pretty decent a English.

there is a saying here in german... where there is no prosecutor there is no need for an advocate

the first GI Joe is much better than the second... i watched recently both and i was almost sleeping through the second... tho action sure was much more to be seen here... the story withered away... and not really some adequate replacement for the countess ...or scarlett...

empty you say?... thinking of something like that...your heart can´t be that empty

the only downside of the current builds is the thin and thus weedy looking floors... you need to do something to make it look more convincing that this structure can support any weights at all...lest the weight it already has...

I liked the second GI Joe movie...but I didn't like....spoiler, sorry, I'll wait until you've seen it.

Just remember, it's based off the Comic, not the half-hour animated toy commercial we all fondly remember

Is that why snake eyes has lips on his mask. hope it's not based of a rob liefeld comic book, wait hey can o that because no human is that disproportionate.

Actually just finished watching seasons 1+2 of the n mated series on Netflix while doing the build last week. Working through justice league cartoon right now. Need some more cartoon ideas because I'm almost through this series as well.

How did the ripsaw tank look in the movie? I liked watching the howe and howe brothers tv show here they built the prototype for it. That tank is one mean piece of metal. Think ill have o buy one if I ever win the lottery. Of course it's hard o win since I don't buy tickets.

@vik, thanks for reminding me of those movies. I'll put them on the list of background entertainment. Would love. Make that diorama, but my skills rant near that level. I was thinking more of an older steam boiler in the giant ball than an energy field. I think I'll make the bottom floor the stoker room with a Big furnace and coal pile, move the sphere to the middle level and have a large exhaust stack come out through the top. If I can scrounge up a cheap model train smoker then maybe I'll make it a running powerplant .

Seeing that picture of dr. Oct. reminds me of the spryer patriarch

Ugly model, someone his this on eBay for $100.00. It is rare because the game was basically dead when they released it, and I think it was direct only at the time also.

I'll convert my own for hat price.
