Renegade Inquisitor with a Bound Daemon

In Biblical mythology, Azazel is one of the leaders of the Grigori, a class of angels created to watch over humanity. The Grigori descend to Earth in order to have sex with human women. Azazel ends up teaching humanity the crafts metalwork and cosmetics. It is the angel, Metatron, who finally has him cast out of heaven.
As punishment for his crimes, Azazel is bound, mutilated, and cast into darkness, never to see light again. In this interpretation, all of his eyes have been pierced with nails, leaving him unable to see, and completely destroying is reason for existing as a watcher.

Swiftly following up the lineart, Azazel is the first of the angels to be rendered in colour.

Next is Metatron. Not to be confused with a certain transforming gun/tank/robot...

That's some freaky stuff, the Azazel asymmetric design makes me think of Yasushi Nirasawa designs.
And Lucifer has a nice member

I hadn't heard of him before, but his artwork looks fantastic.
As for Lucifer...he might have some interesting hobbies.
And here's Satan. The last to be coloured member of the first collection of Angels.

Samael lineart. While he's been depicted as both a fallen angel and a demon, as well as the husband of Lilith, Samael's original representation was that of a sinister angel of death.

After watching Jodorowsky's Dune (it's absolutely amazing) I started reading Dune for the first time (I'm only about halfway through, so no spoilers please! I already ended up uncovering more than I wanted to doing research for this piece), which lead to this most recent project: a Fremen from Frank Herbert's 'Dune' novels. While not entirely faithful to the depiction in the book, I love the idea of living, biological elements integrated into technology, and envisioned the stillsuits of Dune using vat grown organs as part of their construction.
