Definitely Elder Scrolls. There's so much unplundered weirdness and diversity in that setting, the potential for various armies is pretty much limitless. Scrollhammer already exists, but I'd love to have some decent 28mm minis to go with it. I've wanted an army of pretty much anything related to Morrowind since that game came out. Imagine how a Great Houses army with Silt Strider transports would look on the tabletop. Or a House Dagoth army with Akulakhan as a centerpiece.
Halo and Mass Effect both have tons of potential in terms of miniatures. GoT/ASoIaF already has some very nice, if generic, minis from Dark Sword, but I dunno how to make a good game out of it. Having all of your special characters die every turn could be frustrating...

Anyone remember the RPG "Feng Shui"? I always thought there was an absolutely amazing wargame in that.
The premise is essentially that time travel to different junctures of human history is possible by travelling through a parallell dimension called the Netherworld. Each juncture is essentially a different action movie genre--mythic China, pre-handover Hong Kong, a cyberpunk dystopia, etc--and is dominated by a faction that seeks to manipulate history to their benefit by controlling sites of power. The factions are:
Eaters of the Lotus (69): Evil demon-summoning sorcerer-eunuchs, who are the power behind the Chinese throne, and seek to expand their power.
Guiding Hand (1850): Confucian monks who seek to destroy the power of the West and impose virtuous order on the world.
Architects (2049): A one-world government ruling over a bleak, oppressive future, securing their power with superior arcane-technology and cyborged demons.
Ascended (modern): A world-spanning conspiracy of the descendents of animals who assumed human form in mythic times, and seek to destroy the magic which might expose them or cause them to revert.
Jammers: A revolutionary faction who seek to destroy all chi so that no other faction can control human destiny (possibly destroying the world in the process, but they consider that an acceptable risk), led by a cyborg chimpanzee.
Four Monarchs: One-time joint rulers of the world who lost their empire when history changed under their feet in 1985, and fled to the Netherworld, to endlessly scheme against each other and try to restore their dominion.
The Dragons: A loose alliance of individual action-movie heroes from all time periods, who heroically fight against the odds and tend to get wiped out and reformed quite frequently.
Maybe an Anima-style system for crew building, where you can choose models based on shared good / neutral / evil alignment, or by faction. Some factions could specialise in deploying and coordinating hordes of mooks, while others have a few individually potent heroes.

I'd be happy with a revamped version of Vor: The Maelstrom with its potential of adding diverse types of armies.

Infinity doesn't really strike me as a good match--Mass Effect combat is typically less deadly, closer range, and then you get into the biotic powers. If you can't rocket across the arena and megaton-punch someone with a biotic charge, it's not a Mass Effect game.

Hopping on the Mass Effect bandwagon.
Salarian STG team versus Collectors? Alliance versus rogue Asari? Krogan shock troops versus mixed mercs?
Tons of potential 'factions', lots of fluff to build on, plenty of weapons and armour to paint up and use to upgrade units (not necessarily WYSIWYG, but in terms of variability in unit capabilities), heroes people are familiar with, and 'classes' to assign to 'hero units' (returning and new alike) to spice things up.
As a huge fan of the series, yeah, that'd definitely have my attention.
Also, there's the snarky response of "Robotech", because if Palladium fumbles their launching of the product any harder, someone else is going to need to pick it up...

Honestly this would be really cool. I think I would have to go with either Logolog and the Shrews, or the Long Patrol.
I'd like to see a system that would support small skirmishes as well as huge battles. You'd only need two army books ('Goodbeasts' and 'Vermin') in order to encompass pretty much all the factions. Guosim shrews would make dynamite 'mercenary' units for a Goodbeast army. And if I'm going to collect a Redwall army, I'm either going with the forces of Salamandastron hardcore, or the most vile pirate crew I can put together.
I completely agree. Salamandastron Hares led by a Badger Lord and Martin the Warrior for big games and Long Patrol Hares for Skirmish level stuff. Also, a Star Wars ground forces TT game would be a very good thing, as would a Mass Effect system.

A world of Warcraft table top game could be fun.
You could either say, your guild has to be of a particular race only. But have different classes.
Or just a faction based version. 25 models max.
Even have models for some of the in game evil creatures. So you can either play as a faction or the creatures in the dungeon/instance. On a 6x4 or 4x4 table.
Sell zone mortalis style tiles too.

I've been pining for a Mobile Suit Gundam tabletop game of over 10 years. They already have an extensive line of models, 35 years of lore across several alternate universes, and it would give me an excuse to buy and make gunpla models more.

Yeah, I've been dreaming of a Mobile Suit: Gundam: 00 tabletop game, mainly because of the number of factions etc.
In 00 we have
Celestial Being
Celestial Being Fereshte (not sure if that's the correct spelling, the Celestial Being Black Ops division)
Team Trinity
Advanced European Union
Human Reform League
The Union
Earth Sphere Federation Forces
A-laws
Extraterrestial Livingmetal Shapeshifters
The Rogue Innovades
Innovators (from the Innovator war)
Also, it'd be cool to have Celestial Being fight against other Gundam units from other timelines, however, the 5th generation suits from the 00-movie are the most powerful in the Gundam Franchise. :/

Fafnir wrote:An RPG set in William Gibson's Sprawl trilogy would be amazing, if handled properly.
A tapletop skirmish game (although considering the characters involved, skirmish might not be the appropriate word) set in the world of Mark Waid's and Alex Ross' Kingdom Come would also be all kinds of incredible.
A skirmish game based off of Atlus' Shin Megami Tensei franchise could also have a lot of potential. Not only are there already a myriad of demons designed for it already (for those not in the know, SMT was kind of like Pokemon before Pokemon came around, except instead of summoning cute little monsters to fight for you, you summoned Satan), but the videogames themselves have always favoured party-based combat, which would transfer over well to a skirmish based game. Likewise, implementing a system like the Press Turn System would be a very unique and interesting one for a tabletop game.
While I would like the idea of a Metagen tabletop game, I kind of view it more as of Board game material potential as the party-based idea behind seems a bit more Board gamish than table top along with recruiting and leveling up demons (although that might be more Persona-esque than Shin Megami Tensei). However, I can see a way of doing a skirmish game for Shin Megami Tensei, but I think it would be kind of limited since it might be the only three factions based on Law, Neutral, and Chaos to conflict with each other.
And I hate being part of band wagons, but I think a Mass Effect skirmish tabletop might be cool. I say kind of have a activation and actions like Warmahordes but be able to have a reaction system like Infinity and varying levels of exhaustion determining what you can do as that model reacts. Also, each person have alternate turns, going from one model or so to another players model.

For Sci Fi I'll jump on the Mass Effect bandwagon with Halo in a comfortable second place
For Fantasy I'll go with a different MMORPG than everyone else, Rift so many factions to choose from, so many possibilities for models.

A Gears of War skirmish game would be cool...
But I always thought Batman would make a cool game. Whist the minis are sweet I havent found anyone in my area who plays it.
Starwars would be pretty awesome aswell

I'm definitely one for Deadzone Mass Effect. Or Deadzone X-Com (Since it's halfway there already). But mostly Mass Effect.
Mind you, I'm pretty much up for anything Mass Effect. My Scourge in Dropzone Commander are already painted up as Reapers.

The important thing for anyone trying to do a Vampire Hunter D game would be to make sure they spent the time and money getting the best possible sculpts. Yoshitaka Amano's artwork is such an important part of VHD, it'd take a gargantuan effort from even the most masterful of sculptors to capture even a fraction of his works' essence.
