I'm testing my roleplaying game right now. It's a rulebook that I'm writing from years now, the only probelm is that I wrote it in Italian. I will translate it (a friend of mine from England will do that), but I prefer to do that once everything is ready Thanks for your comment!

I'm expanding the 3 Ranger set with two more dwarves, they will be available in both versions: all togheter in a single pack and everyone as a single model!
Tom Meier did an exact duplicate of the old AD&D troll for Ral Partha in the early 1990's when Ral Partha finally got the license for the AD&D miniature line.
They did exact duplicates of most of the Monster Manual monsters.
Those dwarves are second to none. I especially like the gun-axes. The sketches of the orks look promising too. Look forward to seeing more of your excellent work!

I'm trying to financing my role playing game and (hopefully) the casts using Shapeways. Right now I have no way to cast them and I'm pretty happy with Shapeways Frosted Ultra Detail Material.

You sculpt EVIL eyes in your minis (evil to paint).
As far as painting eyes goes, I find nothing harder than painting an eye in which the sculptor has tried to sculpt iris or pupil details.
The easiest eyes to paint are simple, plain spheres.
Yes, the eye is not a sphere, as the cornea/lens sticks out from the front of the actual eye (it is like a bump on a sphere).
But the cornea is clear, and is what produces the large specular highlights on the iris/pupil. That is easier to paint than it is to try to 'realistically' model or sculpt the eye as a lopsided sphere.

Yes, please! The shapeways prices are too much for me, but metal would be cheaper, and even better quality. If you could negotiate an ongoing metal casting contract, you have the beginnings of a fantastic miniature range here.

Luckly I had some hours on this weekend to continue the Wood Troll. He's not ready to be completely shown, right now I just ended to pose his body and so there are a lot of small details to fix here and there, and obviously to properly sculpt the weapon and details on the base. What do you think about it?
Also, don't miss the sculpting video i recorded when I was sculpting the first part of this model. The next video (posing) will be uploaded once i have some time and this guy is finished

Right now we could be able to cast my and Francesca's models in one of these 3 materials, it would be nice to hear your feedbacks!

If you have the choice and it's not prohibitively expensive, I would hands down do them in plastic or resin over pewter. I have no idea of the ecenomical side of casting though, so I guess it's something you'll have to weight up.
The reason I would choose plastic or resin over pewter is that from my experience all metal models are far more prone to paint chipping / spalling, particualrly on raised areas, edges and extremeties such as outstretched arms or weapons. It didn't seem to matter what type of lacquer or varnish I put on the model, I could run my nail over it and it would scratch off. I believe it's an issue of the undercoat bonding in some way with plastic and resin, whereas it won't do so on metal.
Ordinarily I'd also advise plastic for ease in converting the figures. These isn't so much an issue with these models becasue they're very unique looking to begin with, and use proprietary parts, so I don't think you're going to get too many people wanting to chop them up.

I have not news about casting right now, but I noticed I forgot to publish the finished Wood Troll. If everything goes well, we can cast it When I'll have some time I would probably make two alternative poses (with some other differences here and there). Hello! We have our first test print of the Wood Troll, what do you think about it? There are some little printing errors here and there, but the next time it will be better
and fully assembled:
He is cutted in different parts to accomplish casting and printing: currently from the belt to the base is one single part, another one for the upper body with half mace, one part is the mace head, right armo from the elbow and left hand. I decided to cut the teeth because i would not change the design to suit the mold. Every part have a cube-joint to be easly assembled
