I know this could be considered heresy, but I hope they resculpt the Sister of Compassion in this new tall/skinny style. It would be more inline with Brom's art and less like it was trying to fit into a 40K army.

I think they probably will, if the 'new' (as in the last few years!) sculpting style is any proof - and I think it is!

Bah, how am I not subscribed to this thread!

Glad to see they're updating a lot of the sculpts for the Frosaken. Suppose I'll be getting those new rules at Gencon.

We'd appreciate that - thanks!

Also, I'm just not familiar enough with the Dark Age range to be able to hit the Samaria in Ashes FB page and know what's what!

They had all the saint resculpts displayed but only the Mounted Saint Mark for the mounted Saints. (though he was for sale)

Sister of Compassion isn't new, too curvy. (Wow, that actually hurt to type.) new Banes are in the bottom right corner? Seems to be newest sculpts reinterpreted in the new style. Like the cloaked guys and gals in the bottom left too.

Here are some pictures I took from the CMON Expo. They showed some artwork for the new Forsaken book that releases at GenCon, too; two new saints (Saint Joan and Saint Isaac), new/different units for Saint John, and lots of resculpts!

The pictures are of the new Saint Mark sculpt, new Saint Mary sculpt (with new Banes flanking her), new Saint Johan sculpt, and new Ravage sculpt.

Yeah, thanks very much. I'm all about St. Mary and her subfaction. If they release that it may be an expensive gencon for me.

I don't know, but I LOVE the paint job.

And am terrified that they might be weaponized butt plugs.

Saint Mary no longer looks like she's toting a Heavy Bolter in one hand. Seems to be a bunch of Banes, maybe some special ones with new rank and file. Those Ravages are must haves, but not entirely Brom-esque.

Lot of good stuff on the horizon.

Not a problem! Mounted St Mary will definitely be at Gencon... they had her at the CMONExpo for sale. I'd have gotten one, but I still haven't gotten my mounted St Mark into battle yet, and I splurged a bit into Sand Nomads.

They teased that 90% of the new models for the upcoming Forsaken book, which releases at Gencon, will be available at Gencon. Two new Saints (Saint Joan... yes, THAT Joan, and Saint Isaac) along with their new groups, plus a revision to Saint John's models. Basically the Haniels and the guy with two pistols that I'm totally blanking on his name will move to generic Forsaken and be available to anyone, and Saint John will get some new paladin looking guys to go with him, as well as something of a bannerman.

The game is getting a ton of resculpts right now, too. They had resculpted Ravages, Banes, Strikes, Mark, and Mary all for sale at the EXPO, plus a resculpted Blades mercenary and Outcast Wasteland Warriors.

Curious about the dude with the extra pair of arms.

I have a weakness for multi limbed models.

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

Does anybody know if they will have Forsaken starters with the new sculpts in them or will we just have to buy the new sculpts seperate? since it looks like a few of the starter models do have new sculpts

I want to like Dark Age, I really do. It's post apocalyptic with aliens and robots and stuff. My problem with it though is that it tends to be a bit too sci-fantasy for me. Thankfully, those Salt Nomads seem to be taking things more in a direction that I prefer. Hell, they might even be what actually brings me into the game. I just wish the other human factions looked as cool.

Well they are re-sculpting many of the original Forsaken figures. Here are a few amateur cell phone photos from the CMON Expo of upcoming figures:

Those re sculpts look great.

Now if only they were re sculpted to 30-32mm tall (not over 35mm which looks odd with the rest of my mini collection) I'd be able to pick them up.

Is the story progressing in the books or elsewhere?

Yes, in the books!

Dark Age is a good game all on its own, for me, so the scale doesn't bother me at all.

Though I'll also admit I never really noticed an issue there at all!

That guy's St. Johann, the heretic. He's one of the Forsaken Saints (charlatans who hold military power by assuming the identities and mythologies of vaguely defined religious figures to keep the masses in check) who's exiled from their society for being basically a mad scientist. His later form is as a tribal warlord for another faction after being cast out. Rules wise, he's one of the most powerful models in terms of killi-ness.
