They are some awesome dreadnoughts! I'll definitely try cotton and PVA technique. As for the armour, I still have a decent amount of thin plastic sheets left, so I'll be using them. Automatically Appended Next Post: Finished painting up that squad of Khornate Chaos Space Marines turned Nurgle worshippers! I think they look good. Pretty pleased with how they have turned out.
I imagine that they are a rag tag bunch Khornate Space Marines left behind after some sort of Black Crusade so they decided to just tag along with the Nurgle worshippers. Or maybe they could be Marines from the World Eaters legion who were on the brink of death after being wounded in a a Black Crusade but some crazy Nurgle Apothecary decided to salvage them and infect them with Nurgles Plagues in an attempt to stop them from dying. So they can be used to bolster the ranks of the Nurgle forces.
There are so many potential back stories for these guys!

Very nice to see that squad finished, that was a unique and ballsy concept to pick, and they turned out great. Khorne will not like that one bit though ^^ !
Regarding cotton+PVA I should mention I sometimes used more than one armature in order to give a proper support to the shape. While this is not as modifiable as clay, you can still touch it up while it dries. To cave in the inside of an elbow, I wrapped metal wire around the arm and only removed it once everything had dried up.
Of course, the final touch ups need to be done using greenstuff imho.
Good luck, and keep us posted !

Thanks, I like adding conceptually unique items in to my army, it gives it even more character. Khorne definitely won't be happy though.
I'm going to spend a lot more time on the armature this time, making sure to get it bulky and make it a bit more 3-dimensional to support the cotton and PVA. I went to the shop a day ago and bought some cotton and pVA glue, so hopefully I can start doing this project today.

[I'll take a better photo soon]
Yesterday, I managed to finish up my Kharn the Betrayer counts-as. I'd like to think that despite the Khornate squad joining up with the Nurgle forces after being left for dead by their original Khornate warband, they are not 100% with the forces of Nurgle. Their ferocious blood lust and brutal psycho-surgery make them highly unpredictable. Only a leader who is just as bloodthirsty will be able to led these fearsome warriors. This leader isn't actually Kharn, but decided to model himself in Kharn's image due to the fact that Kharn is one of the greatest warriors.
I had some Ork bitz lying around so I thought that I might as well assemble them, it can be the beginnings of revisiting the army that got me in to 40k. So I have started painting up one of the Orks that I have assembled. It doesn't look like much from the photos, but I have only just started laying down the base colours. It'll look better eventually, I promise. As you can see, I decided to paint the skin purple, which is quite a bold move, considering that Orks are supposed to be green. The thing is, my Chaos Space Marines are green, so if I went with another green army, I might get sick of painting green. Also, the purple makes the orks stand out and means I can come up with an awesome backstory for why they are that colour. I'm thinking of something along the lines of an apocalyptic nuclear fallout mutated them and caused their skin to change colour.

Oooh nice ribcage, lots of potential there, like guts, or lesser demons shooting from it ?
Did you straighten the legs between this phase and the former ?
Anyway, that is pretty cool you are able to progress fast on these preliminary phases !

The Knight project hasn't worked out. It kept falling apart so I have decided to throw it away and scrap the project.
Next time I'll try scratch building something a little less ambitious.

The Knight Titan project is not dead, it's just on the back-burner while I source the bits needed to make it.
The Chaos Terminators are coming along pretty nicely, I'll take some more pics of them today.
I also went to my local GW and bought myself some more Chaos stuff. It's the first Games Workshop kit I have bought in four years. I am looking forward to assemble these guys!

I wanted to expand my Chaos Space Marine collection in to doing another chaos god and paint scheme as I was getting a bit bored painting green Nurgle worshippers. Thanks!
Automatically Appended Next Post: Recently I have been finishing up working on some more scratch built Nurgle Spawn. They are made using Milliput, Sea Shells, Hot Glue and Filler. I think they are looking pretty good so far. What I have left to do on them is finish up the detailing, adding grass to the base and then adding gloss varnish to make it look slimy and disgusting.
I have also been working on adding a red base-coat to the armour of the Khorne Warp-Talons. I am planning on going for a very Red and Brass heavy colour scheme.

Finally finished up my squad of magnetised Nurgle Terminators. They took a while to complete, but I'm pleased with how they turned out. They look suitably Nurgle and fit in well with the rest of my army. The only thing I dislike about them is the fact that I assembled them before I had bought a dremel, meaning that the magnets are stuck on the outside of the model, rather than embedded in a drilled hole, resulting in the arms sticking out a bit too much from the body. But at least I have learned from my mistakes and it's not a bad first attempt at magnetising. Hopefully I'll get to have a go at magnetising another squad soon, making sure to drill holes and embed the magnets in to the models so the magnetised parts stick properly together.

'Evening WargamingWarrior, cool update ! Also letting us into your plague lab will indeed raise questions ^^ ! Here go :
- I noticed an Oyster amongst your chaos spawn shell pile, are you thinking of a new design, by oppositon to you existing snail-like spawns ? I could easily saw it as an armored back, with tentacles coming out of it....
- Thought I saw some kind of Nurgle Tree in you second cabinet, that looks interesting, is it and element of decor, or some demon stuff ?
- Brilliant titan project, that will surely take a while, but it will be interesting to follow.
- When you talk about knight titan double weapon, are you planning on building one for your scratch built knight project ? That would be nice ^^ !

- Yeah, I'm adding some variety to the squad by using different shells to make different creatures.
- That's a tree I made when I was at University, it's sort of fairytale, dark woods inspired.
- It will certainly take a while, but it'll look good in the end hopefully.
- I'm liking the idea of double Gatling guns for serious dakka!
I'm thinking that it's the new book from the new Knights set GW released. I'm not exactly sure as I didn't take the photo, I found the photo on Facebook.
What I have also been working on in the lab is some drawings. They are nothing special, but I'm still pleased with them.

Cultists, Mutants, Traitors, & Dregs of Society - a Lost and the Damned PLOG
Then suddenly I saw it. With only a slight churning to mark its rise to the surface, the thing slid into view above the dark waters. Vast, Polyphemus-like, and loathsome, it darted like a stupendous monster of nightmares to the monolith, about which it flung its gigantic scaly arms, the while it bowed its hideous head and gave vent to certain measured sounds. I think I went mad then.
