My guess? Less than 10%. Prove me wrong or you're just being a crab in the bucket
There is absolutely nothing wrong with making genuine criticisms to a model even if you don't have any desire to buy the thing. Sure the purity seal thing is a bit nitpicky but without the rock, the model still looks awesome and let's you buy more than one without them looking identical!
How can you make a genuine criticism if you never intended to buy that thing and you're not the target market? I might as well go criticize the stitching and fog light placement on the new BMW X5, I don't find them aesthetically pleasing. But if I'm not the target market, why should they ever take me seriously? It's completely meaningless. The robot's clearly intended for 40k, it's like complaining that I'm going to have to shave the insignia off some Infinity or Warmahordes figure for use in another game.
It very well may be genuine, but it's completely meaningless and worthless
The rock thing, sure, but that's always why you can convert if you really do intend on purchasing multiple and these guys are so big I doubt I'd want an army of them, I'd get 4 max for my Heresy mechanicus army.
We're wargamers, are we not? How are we not the target market?
Does it have a distinctive 40k feel? Absolutely.
Are there other systems out there which you could use this great sculpt in which aren't 40k? Absolutely.
Even within 40k, there are multiple uses for this thing. A Chaos player who runs iron warriors / doesn't like the half-flesh-half-metal abomination think that their dreads have going for them is a very likely buyer. Ork players (like myself) are likely buyers... because Orks. With some plasticard to cover some areas and smooth things out, a Tau player could even invest in this. Heck, even for Imperials the fact that the seals are always in the same place is problematic.
The point is that purity seals don't do anything for other systems / even several potential type of buyers in 40k. It's not a huge problem, but as someone else said it's much better to glue than to cut.
It's far from a meaningless critique, and I find it ironic that the people calling it so seem to be the most riled up bunch in the thread. It's a genuine observation of how to improve the product and make it even more appealing to different sets of buyers.

I drive a luxury car, how am I not the target market for a BMW? You're applying a broad concept to something that's more focused.

Ork and Chaos players already have to convert when they buy Imperial vehicles and models unless they choose to leave the aquilla on it anyway, shaving some purity seals is nothing unexpected. That argument means nothing.
Let's drop the tumblr buzzwords, why is it problematic to have purity seals? Try to explain yourself in more than one word.
It's far from a meaningless critique, and I find it ironic that the people calling it so seem to be the most riled up bunch in the thread. It's a genuine observation of how to improve the product and make it even more appealing to different sets of buyers.
Haha, you think I'm riled up? That's pretty sad mate and another useless "observation". It's meaningless because people want it to appeal to them and them alone. It's pretty obvious that the sculptor intended it for use for 40k Imperium armies.
P.S. My original point was that I doubted that people who made these critiques would likely never purchase it even if the sculptor did take their suggestions. That's why their suggestions are meaningless.

With some small pinning they could be made movable i think.

Wow, those are pretty sweet! The price is respectable too for the fact that they're so detailed and resin and all
I've been putting together a mental order for your site and these guys might just finish it off.. I will probably do head swaps with ski masks to use them for an Arkham Knight themed game but wowzers!

You're absolutely right - there's a reason putty and paper exist too.
Personally, I think the basic problem with the purity seals and other gothicky bits isn't so much that they need trimmed off (and likely a bit of resculpting or refilling) but that it also sends a message: only 40K players need apply. To pot with anyone who wants it for another game.
This is a very nice model, otherwise. I don't have a use or need for it right now, but it's filed away up here for such a time that I do, or if someone else asks. Ditto with the modern russians - not anywhere close to a period I'm interested in, but I can appreciate the high quality of the sculpting.

That's how it seems to me.. or maybe 15mm.. which I play and would buy it for..but I was really excited because with that size cockpit, this thing should be a monster when scaled big enough for a person to fit in there.
