Yes, it's almost as annoying as everyone assuming that every Necron player fields Decurion with Canoptek Harvest, every Eldar player fields Scatterbikes with multiple Wraithknights, and every SM player fields a Battle Company with 10 Razorbacks - and then uses that level of cheese as a point of comparison to a fluffy list from their own Codex.

Which itself is less annoying than people who assume there is always a clear difference between "cheesy" and "fluffy" lists, as if taking the worst units in each codex somehow makes any list more fluffy.

Yeah, when i read the small novel that is the Death Guard unit options and think about resolving the attacks from a melee-oriented min size death guard squad, the thing that springs to mind is "Accessible!"

Yeah, as someone who plays in a group that is comprised, almost entirely, of veteran players who use "7.5Ed." codices (or Tau), and pretty much exclusively the exceptionally good units/formations out of those codices, I think it does mater.

I'm not asking to be "top tier", and have no interest in Centurions, but I'd like to be something other than "Space Marines Lite". Basically, I want to be able to win games, without relying entirely on luck or cheesy allies, against players of about equal skill level, who are also playing non-cheesy power lists. That's it.

I mean, I WANT a new dex, but really, an FAQ, bringing our points/stats in line with the new C:SMs units, would be enough to keep me pretty happy.

Well, CSMs at least received a bit of love in Crimson Slaughter and, more recently, Daemonkin.

I thought Daemonkin was more about Khorne CSMs?

Or maybe it's just because our chaos player uses mostly CSM stuff in his lists.

Crimson Slaughter is... alright, from what I've seen.

In any case, it's still two supplements more than BAs got.

Kdk isn't a supplement most decent KDK lists include very few marines with the exception of a jugger lord and the compulsory 2 units of bikes for gore pack and possessed if they are running slaughter cult
