Great weekend tho.
Fixed that for you Ratwolf
Wait what? who was playing slow?
The comment was made in jest, the smiley face gives a hint ( ).
But to be serious for a minute no matter what points value sometimes games will be slower (playing style, rule queries, horde armies) and the majority will have to wait.
I for one enjoyed the points limits, All my good tournie choices were maxed out at 1750pts so I just had fillers but it meant I played armies with a bit more variety than the norm. EYIGs three storm ravens didn't make it (thankfully) but the Death company Dread List did.

Thanks for the tourni wittman. Looking forward to the next one. I like the split points, but have no strong feelings on what they should be. My only comment would be if they are larger (2250) there needs to be time limits on the games - maybe 3 hours? Round 4 went on for over 4 hours!

Well a time limit will be set from now on meaning the people who take longer will have less turns also may have to set a turn limit of 5 maybe 6 turns then game over
As for points the limit will be 2250 at max if I decide to go this high again
Keep the feedback coming though guys

Feedback ?
1750 is definately a solid bottom point level. Absolutely no complaints there.
2000 or 2250, both are good, both change the game drastically but, 2000pts would be quicker games.
Although that special scenario screwed me righteously, it was as fun as a monkey in a barrel.

Time limit works better I think, especially the way Bede and I played our 5th turn. Bede had last player turn. At the end of the fourth turn we divided what time we had left in half for each player. This stopped any last minute " I've forgotten the rules or proceeding slowly to stop your opponent getting his final turn" shenanagins I've seen elsewhere.
The trouble with defined game turn length in objective games is the second player just hides several units in cover until the last minute objective rush without the need to plan for a further turn.
No easy answer Witt, but would an earlier start on the second day not help or does transport issues mean it has to stay the same?

No special characters would limit the variety of armies severely. How many of the new books have vastly different armies unlocked with special characters?
Also, no special characters wouldn't affect how long the games took.
I do realise that I played a special character, but is that a bad thing? My army wasn't like any of the other grey knights armies at the tourney.
I don't have a preference to points limits.

I agree with Bede here. All the Blood Angels armies were vastly different from each other. I was running a DoA army, Nathan ran DC and dread soam then Chris ran his list (not sure what it had in) but it was different from our lists. Me and Nathan also both took special characters which allowed us to differ our armies vastly. But although I don't see it as a good thing to remove special characters it is not a bad thing either.

Tetras are pretty cool. 110 points for 2 BS4 fast skimmers with 4 marker lights each - that's only 14 points more than 8 pathfinders. And they come with disruption pods....! They solve all the problems with pathfinders, for only 14 points more!
Awesome
Also - check out the sensor tower......not bad!

Yeah mine has tomb stalker rules, as well as pylons. SC: since prices have been drastically nerfed then my viable choice is Abbadon, or Nurgle DP with warptime or chaos sorcerer units with gift of chaos... Either way I can go around this but it will make my games harder to win (adding tactical challenge) so im not fussed about this. the points are good just the way they are cant wait for the next tourney (hopefully with new CSM dex ).
