Great stuff Houshin and BrookM! Houshin, how about a Scion command squad when the Heroic Scale Female Heads - Veterans are released in a couple of months?

@Wyrmalla: I've been thinking about an in-between-size range of heads. After all, the newer GW male heads (Scions for example) almost exactly match the size of the male heads from my Pulp ranges. Female heads in that size could be put to many uses.

The Heroic Scale heads are sized more to the likes of GW Cadians, though a bit wider in the face which has the effect of narrowing the shoulders of the figure; I figured most of the heads I sell would be used on male figures (be it GW Cadians, Space Marines, Scions or now the Dreamforge Valkyrie), so it was a logical compromise.

I just need to decide on a name for the in-between-size heads!

Andrew, what kinds of heads can we expect to find in the veterans pack? At least one eyepatch?

This is music to my ears I can't believe how much better the heads look in person if that was even possible

Oh I will. I am not actually that keen on the default head in the Scions pack for the commander as it is. I would also be up for some (about 40-50 I think...) of the heroic scale female helmeted heads. I don't like the idea of too many helmetless heads in my Cadian Shock troops. The rest of my existing Shock Troops can be converted to White Shields.

Hopefully I'll have enough liquid cash in a few days to grab a few sets of these... and hopefully they'll still be in stock!

Statuesque Miniatures and Pulp Alley are pleased to announce the release of two new Pulp Alley Miniatures packs – Dr. Fang and Golgo Satana and Pulp Alley Weapons 1.

"Believed to be centuries old, the enigmatic Dr. Fang frequently poses as a simple purveyor of ancient artifacts. In truth, this criminal mastermind secretly leads the greatest underworld empire in history.

"Golgo Satana's true face and identity remain unknown. This master of disguise and assassination strikes suddenly from the shadows then disappears without a trace."

As a new release special offer, Dr. Fang and Golgo Satana are priced at £6 for the pair, saving 20%.

As with all the Pulp Alley miniatures, Dr. Fang and Golgo Satana are available with unique Pulp Alley Character Cards, for use in your Pulp Alley games.

All our favorite pulp weapons are now available in Pulp Alley Weapons 1 - including Webley, Luger, Colt 1911, Mauser Broomhandle, Tommy Gun, and a Shotgun!

Designed for easy conversions, simply snip off a figure's existing hand, dill a 1mm hole into the wrist and use the pre-attached pin to secure the new weapon hand in place.

The Pulp Alley Weapons 1 set is priced at £2.50.

Both new releases are also available from Pulp Alley in the USA.

I suppose these weapon hands are of the proper scale that they'll easily go with other ranges as well, like Victoria Lamb's stuff.

I've no idea how big the hands are on Victoria's stuff I'm afraid, but the Pulp Alley Weapons 1 hands match the hands on the male Pulp Alley figures, if that helps. They're certainly bigger than the Resistance Fighter weapon hands.

Have to agree both pulp characters turned out as great miniatures especially the female assassin nice spin on the hellboy theme

The hand sets look pretty cool as well might try these out for a couple of things, the pricing seems pretty good as well

Thinking of grabbing the female assassin to run as an Alt commander for my German Army in Bolt Action. Thinking of throwing some pulp type figures into my Army just as a bit of fun.

Got my order in yesterday and good stuff all round.

The pulp guns will most certainly go perfectly with the Victorian Guard models, the hands are only a wee bit bigger than those on the models.

And little miss Poots comes with her own wittle base, so cute!

The worst thing about Andrew is he doesn't put out enough stuff in a timely manner. I want to see his creations much more frequently! I love just about everything he's made, especially the resistance fighters. If he were to try to kickstart a minis project, i'd be hard pressed not to back it.

And in case the impression i'm giving is that i'm being hard on him, thats not my intention. I respect his work greatly.

From Facebook:

The SMA012 Heroic Scale Female Heads are out of stock again (I ordered the restock weeks ago, honest!). I'm awaiting an update from the caster as to when I'll receive the restock, so hopefully they'll be available again soon.

The good news is that the caster has told me the restock will be sent if not tomorrow then on Monday. I was so close to having continuous availability again*!

@BrookM: Vet Heads on their way, still a few weeks away as everything slid slightly with unexpected stuff. Sorry to keep you waiting.

@Greywulf: I'm certainly not the most productive of sculptors... As such a KS wouldn't mean more product more quickly, just more pressure for me! But rest assured Statuesque is stable financially and I will continue releasing new toys as and when they're ready.

*I would have made it but there were a few more miscasts in the last batch than usual. Grumble grumble.

I'll just have to wait a little bit longer then. Instead I'll get another set of beret heads in the meantime, though I'll be keeping a few models headless, just in case.

Like others I'd like to see more output, but honestly your quality is so good Andrew I'd hate to see anything get rushed. I just finished up some Hong Kong Killer robots, some Pulp figures, and I've used the regular and heroic heads on several projects. The digital to metal translations are perfect- exquisite detail but still 'paintable'. Keep it up!

The wait will, as with previous products, be well worth it, of that I'm sure. Statuesque, along with Victoria Miniatures produces nothing but excellent quality stuff, but at intervals. Can't be helped, not every company can nilly-willy digi-sculpt models and turn the prints into sales just like that.

Got my order just now and all I can say is.. wibble.

edit.

Nice, very, very nice. Eyepatch lass and cigar girl will most certainly find their way into my Veletaris squad.

The extra pony tail is also a welcome addition for one of the helmeted girls from Victoria's range.

As with the other thread, all I can say is.. I AM NOT WORTHY! I AM NOT WORTHY! I AM NOT WORTHY!

Another edit.

Not the best of shots, but yay! Loving these new heads, excellent stuff, they go well nicely with Vic's Arcadians, giving a nice action vibe from those cheesy movies that goes well with the force.

With the squad done it's time to see what fun can be had with the pulp weapon set and one or two Arcadians.

Hi guys,

I thought you'd like to see the new store photos for the Statuesque Asylum figures Dr Strukov, Sister Anaesthesia and Lillie Poots. I decided now is the time to get more of the Statuesque range painted as it's currently rather monochrome.

These figures were painted by Charlie Kirkpatrick. I don't think he posts here but he goes by Countersunk81 on various forums. Needless to say I'm really pleased with the results.

Very envious of that Dr's bag Sister Anastasia has, it's all quality paint, but that's makes me really jealous

Yup, he nailed the old leather look. In other news....

Statuesque Miniatures and Pulp Alley are pleased to announce the Pre-Order of a new Pulp Alley Miniatures pack – Mak O'Reilly and Gauge, our first Sidekicks.

"Raised on the rough streets of King City, the resourceful Mak O'Reilly frequently accompanies Pulp Girl on her many globetrotting adventures. His cautious nature counteracts Pulp Girl's hot-headedness.

The trusty sidekick of Phantom Ace, Gauge can often be found making repairs and modifications to Ace's wide array of experimental vehicles. This young inventor always has just the right gadget for the job."

As a Pre-Order special offer, Mak O'Reilly and Gauge are priced at £6 for the pair, saving 20%.

The figures are also available from Pulp Alley in the US for $9.75, saving $2.

As with all the Pulp Alley miniatures, Mak O'Reilly and Gauge are available with unique Pulp Alley Character Cards, for use in your Pulp Alley games.

Any order containing this Pre-Order item will not be posted until the 9th of July. The special offer price runs until Sunday 12th of July.
