I'm putting together a list for him and I want to know how and what I should use with him. I've never used soon if anyone has I'd like to know what works?

What's a Zaas?

No such model exists in warmachine or hordes.

Self-proclaimed evil Cat-person. Dues Ex Felines

Cato Sicarius, after force feeding Captain Ventris a copy of the Codex Astartes for having the audacity to play Deathwatch, chokes to death on his own D-baggery after finding Calgar assembling his new Eldar army.

I presume he means Zaal, the skorne caster.

He's generally looking for an infantry heavy list to make the best use of his feat, but balancing his force to get maximum use out of it can be tricky. I'll let actual skorne players say a bit more, because I've only seen him once. I will say that Last Stand and the feat can turn any model into an absolute wrecking ball, so having models which can take advantage of that helps - even a Savage can wreck a heavy with ease.

Storm Guard

When I played skorne I only ever used him in tier with a cannoneer and a metric crap-tone of immortals, ancestral guardians and soulwards. It's a fun list that has some dark horse potential, but it's not very competitive. Some people consider it a cryx drop as it has very few souls to give out. Though Mordikaar and eHexy are better cryx drops IMHO.

I were playing him now I'd be playing him out of tier as the Gatormen Bokor is fantastic with him, throw last stand on a them at the start of the game and run them around killing enemy living models. Suddenly your cheap little replenishable zombies are charging on four dice, and for every living model you kill Bokor gets a corpse token and next turn you get another shambler.

Zaal, wants nihilators as cheap recipients of Last Stand. They can kill way more than they should be able to based on their points costs.

I'll second the gatorman suggestions.

Gatorman Bog Trog Shamblers are pretty awesome too. Witch Doc can do good stuff with him. Reason being is that whenever a model dies you can get a soul for Zaal and a corpse for a new bog trog shambler.

In this thread at PP's forums Jason Watt explains some thoughts behind playing Zaal at competitive environment.

He had some success with it, placing third on the templecon this year.
