Well some mixed news on this project. I think I have finally found someone who can cast my buildings for me, but the church is just too large for them to do. Rather than it just go to waste I decided to paint up the master. It is still a work in process but here is what I have so far. I did the bell tower roof as shingles, but I think I am going to repaint it as the patina copper that I used on the main roof. Eventually they will have stained glass in all the windows (I hope).

I'm debating on a couple of different ways of doing them. I just have to see which looks best.

Never tried this myself but I`ve been told that Christmas cards are ideal. Just find one with a picture of a stained glass window on it(quite common) and then cut down to your window shape.

You can also stick coloured plastic in the windows as well

Thanks guys. Glad you like it. I'm kind of excited to see it 100% finished. I'll post more pics as it progresses. Then it is eBay bound once finished.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
I'm playing around with a couple of options. The first is to simply print out an image of the stained glass and attach it to plasticard. The second is to free hand a design on a piece of clear acrylic and then use artists ink so that the design is still somewhat transparent. I think the second option will look better but could be a royal nightmare to do.

Reworked the roof on the tower to the same patinaed copper. I didn't like the look of shingles on one and copper on the other. Still working on the stained glass windows.
