Jan - It's from the Honored Imperium set, and still available.

Damo - I'd suggest moving the dread up with the termis, and maybe removing the Baal. It's a bit overpacked at the moment, I think a bit less will have more of a visual impact.

Thanks again guys! it's been fun to do and it's also been easy! mixing the brown poster paint acrylic with the filler for a base and then sprinkling on crushed corkboard was so time efficient and then some spraycan bursts to add variation for the ground and the rest is a big makeup brush which I used to sponge/dab darker washes over the board. a whole board like this would only take a day!

A suggestion or two from one who knows...

"Crowds" don't work very well visually. Trick is to balance the natural look with each unit and each character having it's own, distinct visual space so they just don't get all mashed up into one big blur.

I know it's a war-torn battlefield... but it needs more green in it. I would recommend some of those grass tufts. Tuck them in here and there where they might have avoided the shelling or along the back edge. Something to compliment all that red.

I've got some of my grass and green flock I use to go on the board yet Gits so hopefully that will add a small hint of contrast colour? I also haven't really decided on final positions of the models yet so it's certainly up for change :-)

One more for the Warband! got the goatboy finished and I like him nice and grim as he should be.

also began Gits Kans too, not much to show yet but at least they have something on them



and after some input from me 'ol mate Whaley I have weathered the wall in my diorama board and dirtied it up for the warzone! also added some stained glass and brushed them over with typhus corrosion to make them dirty and gritty. the blacks and some bits do look shiny but that's because the pigment fixer I used is still drying there.





and I love this photo! just something about the feel of it I just really think suits the model and the wall.

Looks much more natural like that for sure. Really like the stained glass. Skulls and Ol Billy came out great as well.

That is seriously awesome work. Massive improvement on the wall! Super gritty and grimdark, and those stained glass windows just sell it!

Just outstanding work, mate. Very impressive on all levels. The whole army shot might potentially be given slightly better composition as Whaley mentioned, but the sight of all those beautifully painted models on the board is just out of control.

The Inquisitorial stuff is also fantastic as well. I really like the little anatomical touches that you're doing these days, such as sligtly more reddened skin on elbows and knees.

Hey Solar, the glass is simply some designs I found online that I re sized to fit the windows in the 40k buildings and had them printed on clear acetate I also have a black gel pen that people use for scrapbooking stuff and if you use that on the lines (which I didn't do this time) it gives a raised black lead-like appearance, it can be a bit thick so choose designs that aren't too intricate I'll show you if you wish I believe I've still got some I was fiddling around with.

Ye gods! Such brilliance! A new diorama pops to mind using this guys as well.

Though the other image I get from him is the little cleaning/painter robot from Wall-E. The one that spazes out and goes to clean up all the little crumbseft behind people.

Hey guys! you'll embarrass Gits if you keep staring at his Kans! .... but go on anyway! they are attractive!

So, I finished Gits Kans in record time a couple of days ago and the final touches to his last Cybork member finally got time to take some pics and they all look pretty good, only two jump packs for his Mantis warriors and then I can send away!

Now, i'm also trying to get all my projects done at the moment due to something that kinda accidentally happened that I think you'll like I was just fishing on a local facebook wargames page to see if anyone would be interested in buying Kiera off me? well, it didn't take long at all! within an hour I had an offer of $350! which I then inadvertently replied that $250 was great! Soooooo I got $250 from a local guy who was so happy with her that he is wanting me to do some commissions for him including a WARHOUND TITAN! I'll make the 100 back with that I hope just not sure what to charge for a model that large? any ideas? Ramos? Siggy?

anyway while you ruminate on that info of what's to come here's Gits models and some shots of the stuff to paint this week!

and now for the rest of Whaley's Warband! these are getting attention this week as well as VULKAN! when assembling to prime him I noticed he had a snapped little finger which I had to replace somehow! enter a GreyKnights pointing finger to save the day!






So, what would you all like to see me try or do with Vulkan? any certain colours or depth of light or dark to really make him stand apart? I have a personal challenge to have each Primarch I paint to feature on the gallery front page

Brilliant orks as usual mate. That weathering is top notch, especially that rust.

The kans look great but the Tinman is simply awesome!

Started on Vulkan today, I washed the greens of his plates and 'browned out' all the areas I want gold I have a few ideas for something a little different on him regarding colour blends after looking at him properly the hard part is getting the balance right to still make him appear in green armour when he's so ornate with all the gold about him!



his head is going to be more African American skin toned rather than the charcoal black of the recent fluff which is cool as I haven't painted that tone before



I also decided to start my faces again and tried to do it in stages, so the first two stages are basing with Tallarn flesh and wash with Reikland flesh shade.

Vulkan is looking badass mate. Nice work as ever
