From Battlefront:

Fate Of A Nation Wins Origins Award

The Origins Awards are awarded each year for outstanding effort in the gaming industry. The winners of the 2014 awards were revealed recently and we're proud to announce the Fate Of A Nation won the award for Best Historical Miniatures Figure or Line.

Firstly, we’d like to thank all those involved for making this award possible and secondly, we’d like to celebrate this award by offering a full PDF version of the rules and army lists for Fate Of A Nation.

Enjoy!

Really wish there was some interest in this in my area

I have a small group following for this (not in your area though). I'm waiting on an order of Artillery, M113s and M42s to put together a small Jordanian force. I still haven't settled on a manufacturer for my Centurions, but when I do I'll have a functional 1,000 point force. I was thinking the other day if we could see a late 2014, early 2015 release for a proper book.

I've thought about just getting the FLGS to order me a tank or two just to paint up (really like the Israeli AMX).

What lines were competing in this competition? Unless they were especially awful rulesets then Battle£ront should have rightly placed last in this competition. Not first!

[In my humble opinion, of course]

When I read the first sentence I thought he was referring to my search for competing manufacturers for my Centurions. Sadly not.

What's wrong with Battlefront's Centurion/Sho't that you're looking for models from a different manufacturer?

I always look at models from other manufacturers, It's often beneficial. At the moment the only suitable ones I know of are QRF and BF.

I can't for the life of me figure out what you're trying to do with this post other than antagonize people who like this game. Please refrain from trolling.

Trust me, no matter what damage they have the potential to do, single-shot weapons always flatter to deceive in 40k.                                                                                                       Rule #1

Just though I'd float another manufacturer's name for some vehicles,Khurasan Miniatures. They're currently down in order to catch up on back orders but they've been rolling out a pretty decent looking Yom Kippur War line for a while now. I've ordered their sci-fi stuff and thought it was great quality and their historical stuff looks pretty top notch too.

Reported for trolling.

Reported for spamming and Flaming [Troll-calling]. Please try to give some reasons and explanations for why you disagree with my opinion instead of simply calling people trolls because they think FOW isn't perfect.

Seriously?

Unless they were especially awful rulesets then Battle£ront should have rightly placed last in this competition. Not first

.. coming from someone who has repeatedly demonstrated that they have no experience of FoW whatsoever.

And please be aware that you constant pettiness and dishonesty is doing nothing good for the image of Battlegroup players.

I think Lorek's request above was somehow missed...

Calling someone a troll is also considered trolling. As-is intentionally antagonizing people. If you're not interested in the rules set, please, simply don't post in this thread.

I'm going to clean out all of the above references to trolling. Please, stick to the topic and if you have an issue with someone's post, hit the yellow triangle to alert a moderator, rather than accusing them in-thread.

Further posts not on-topic will result in warnings and/or suspensions... so please don't continue. Thank you.

Their shipping is typically pretty good. Whenever I've ordered something I get it within about a week, always exactly what I ordered. They're probably my favorite "indie" mini-maker here in the U.S.

Kudos to BF for releasing this as a free download, have had a quick look through it. Not sure id I'd run the armies here, mostly as the grey/silver horde is already far too large..

But I do like the look of it.

My order arrived. All I need now is a handful of Centurions and a ton of superglue and I'm good to go. Pics to follow when some assembling occurs.
