I'm currently preparing a list for an event at the beginning of August. I know it's a bit unorthodox, but it's done well for me in the past.

Lords -
Lvl 4 Sorceress of Tzeentch - Disc, Third Eye, Flaming Breath, Talisman of Preservation, Enchanted Shield, Biting Blade, Staff of Sorcery, Potion of Speed

Core-
18 Warriors of Tzeentch - shields, full command
18 Warriors of Tzeentch - shields, full command
18 Warriors of Khorne - halberds, full command
Chariot of Khorne
Chariot of Khorne
Chariot of Khorne
Chariot of Khorne
5 Hounds
5 Hounds

Rare -
Hellcannon
Hellcannon
Spawn of Tzeentch
Spawn of Tzeentch

Total - 2599

For reference, here's the previous version at 2400 pts. http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/509997.page

I'm considering switching the staff of sorcery out for the crown of command, and the potion of speed is there because of an extra five points. It might make for a fun turn in a pinch.

Hellcannons are my favorite, and spawn are something interesting while relatively cheap. Having three breath weapons, and a fair amount of firepower from the Tzeentch lore.

I'm going to try and find a practice match or two here to see how it tests out.

Update: Just looked through the old list, and realized that I didn't use champions on my warriors. Reflecting on this, I could drop them in this list, and then take a third unit of hounds, or change my chariots to Nurgle.

I would take the CoC on your Lvl 4 that way if you run into anything you are stubborn and a lot less likely to flee and get run down (which is about the the only way she should get killed). Also i would consider soul feeder on her that way if you get down to 1 or 2 wounds you can fly into combat, pop your breath weapon and use that to try to regain some wounds. Hounds need vanguard.

And honestly i would drop the MoT warrior units in favor of Chosen MoT with the blasted standard backed up by a chaos warshine. I'd also drop a spawn or two if you needed points to pay for this.

ToW armies I own:
Empire: 10,000+
Chaos Legions: DoC- 10,000+; WoC- 7,500+; Beastmen- 2,500+; Chaos Dwarves- 3,500+
Unaligned: Ogres- 2,500; Tomb Kings- 3,000
Hotek: Dark Elves- 7,500+; High Elves- 2,500
40k armies I own:
CSM- 25,000+

Obligatory "hounds should never take vanguard" counterstatement here. Waste of points.

Also obligatory "MoT with shields is more bleh than you think" statement here. Not a fan of them. You're also super heavy on core, I believe you can ease up a little on that. Chosen are expensive, but kinda neat. Something to explore as an option, but not a particularly competitive one I'd say. The warshrine isn't necessary, especially if you're already eating up all your dice with the sorceress, but something to consider too as nathan mentioned. You could also consider converting some of your chariots into Gorebeasts. Two inch less movement is a relatively small price to pay for the ridiculous durability and stomping power they provide.

I'd agree with Nathan on the CoC, as you're considering it already especially. CR will be your big enemy.

I'm iffy on the spawn, but if they work for you, they work. Won't argue them.

I like Hellcannons in pairs, especially with Treason of Tzeentch.

Alright, so CoC it is, and I don't want to spend more points on the dogs. I'd rather spend the points elsewhere.

At first I figured out how to fit four Gorebeasts in, but just remembered that I can't have more than three of each special choice (right?). After considering all the advice, here's the current revised list.

Lords -
Lvl 4 Sorceress of Tzeentch - Disc, Third Eye, Flaming Breath, Soul Feeder, Talisman of Preservation, Enchanted Shield, Warrior Bane, Crown of Command

Core-
18 Warriors of Tzeentch - shields, musician, standard
18 Warriors of Tzeentch - shields, musician, standard
18 Warriors of Nurgle - halberds, musician, standard
Chariot of Nurgle
Chariot of Nurgle
5 Hounds
5 Hounds

Special-
Gorebeast Chariot
Gorebeast Chariot

Rare -
Hellcannon
Hellcannon
Spawn of Tzeentch
Spawn of Tzeentch

Total - 2599

Lords - 17.5%
Core - 51%
Special - 10%
Rare - 21.5%

Now the Sorceress is even more stable. Switching from Khorne to Nurgle allows me to have more control over my army, and lets them stick around a bit longer. Plus I maintain some extra killing power with adding two Gorebeasts. Overall, I'm liking the changes at the moment. What do you think?

get nurgle on your goirebeasts for pure filth, I'm not a fan of hellcannons but I can hardly comment I've never used them.
As a personal preference I would want knights/skullcrushers or even chimeras in this list over hellcannons.

Thanks for the input. I would agree that one Hellcannon might not be worth it, but I plan on taking two any time that I can. They were largely responsible in getting me to win the last tournament I went to a year ago. They made a large chunk of a Skaven force run off the table, and in the final round a Dwarven block of 50 ran off the table. They're pretty handy, especially when paired with Treason of Tzeentch.

Sounds cool, maybe one day I should give them a go.

I could drop Soul Feeder on the Sorceress, and be able to put Nurgle on one of the Gorebeasts. Then, if I changed the regular chariots to Khorne, then I could afford Nurgle for the second Gorebeast.

I'd go for that. Nurgle on the Gorebeasts is SOOOO GOOOOOOOOD. It gives me sadistic glee every time I can get them into combat.

Meh?

The flanks might be funny to watch if I place one of each chariot, and a spawn on each side.

I would consider putting your cannons on the flanks. They havethe range to shoot across the table and iif anything has the balls to charge it, it can hold its own

Haha too true. I remember one of my Hellcannons holding off a unit of 50 Dwarves for a few turns.

It no longer has frenzy so you dont have to worry so much about it running off charging everything.

It has its own version of frenzy, though.

One last question before the event.

On the block of Nurgle warriors, would you suggest great weapons over the halberds? They're the same cost, and I've been pondering over it last minute.
