This will be my 5th game of warhammer fantasy ever. I play against semi-competitive players at my local gaming store. There are usually 8 people but you can only play 1 game. The winner tallies the points for each unit wiped on the opponents side and then the highest points from the winners wins the day.

I just wanted to give some background on what this list is for. I am trying to be immune to cannons by flying and having too many wounds to 1 hit (chariot with 8).

Tz heralds and pinkies fill my tz spells to guarantee the infernal gateway (hopefully land it on horrors). LoC im not sure what hes there for hopefully dispel all the things and stack wand of whimsy.

Solid. I'm also a fan of the Tz battery system. But I like metal on the two heralds, so I can 6 dice final tranny without risking 560 points. So I would generate spells as such. Roll for loc on TZ. drop off of gateway. Try to keep pink fire, treason and glean. (all cheap to cast, great for wand building, glean is great due him being lvl 4 and short range of spell) then the horrors got a great shot at gateway.

Wow thats a great strategy. So there is still a chance I don't get final transmutation but either way I get gateway and wand building.

Has anyone tried out the exalted seeker chariot? I know it has no armor but its really fast and the armor piercing s4 2d6+1 impact hits seem interesting. The initiative of the thing is what I like. It's crew will almost always strike first at i5 but I don't fully understand chariots so i'm probably missing the reason why i've never seen one at my hobby store.

The best strat for that chicken is the Eternal Blade and ASF sword.

As per the FAQ, the Eternal buff is latent, so you use it even though you choose the ASF sword.

That way, he turns into a combat beast.


I personally prefer the greater locus, as the 4+ regen makes Plaguebearers ridiculously tough.


Otherwise, a competitive list with no skillcannons? I'm impressed. A unique demons list without the best thing in the book. Wink wink. Nudge nudge.
