The barrels are kind of terrible, most of the other stuff is pretty impressive, though

I'm wondering if the barrels don't get improved before it's over, i'm going to heckle them about their not-roundedness as well.

This is all looking fantastic otherwise, the second level is really putting it over the top for me.

Have to agree on the barrels, crates would have been a better fit.

Minor nitpick with what is a wonderful looking set of terrain though.

If only this was out back when I was playing Mordheim! The multi-level walkways and things would have been brilliant, and the more closed-in layout would have helped stop some of the crazier stuff like swarms of skaven or missile weapon spam.

They have to know those barrels aren't legit... we're going to have to heckle them to death during the campaign!

I believe there are crates as well. The barrels need work but these are just prototypes that Colin knocked up at home so he should be able to sort it before production

Damn! I already have, like, 10 sets of Dungeon TerraClips, I don't need these.

Except .... I do.

I so do.

How did delivery of their scifi terrain go? Thought it looked great but decided to drop my pledge towards the end.

We will know sometime next month, i think. Things have taken longer as they've beaten their manufacturer over the head with quality several times, they'll have a more accurate deadline next time.

Went in for the Sci-fi and will definitely be in for this as well.

I've been impressed with how they ran their first campaign. No long lapses in contact as they've maintained excellent communication throughout.

Lookin' really good. I can see using it for catacombs or some gak in a sci fi setting too - ie. as sub levels in a game using their sci-fi terrain. This at a similar time to Dwarf Kings Quest is really reducing my ability to resist. I don't play any fantasy games atm but... they both just look so good!

For which we're very grateful.

It looks like it's "only" going to be 3 months late, so that's pretty good for KS. As others have said, it's also been very good that they have maintained good comms throughout - without seeming arrogant or douchey at all.

Yeah, i just think they didn't fully understand how long things would take to process and get shipped.. and they sent stuff back for quality at least a couple of times I think.

They're going to have a better delivery schedule for the second one i'm sure.

I backed the SF set, and I'll most likely back this one as well. My son will appreciate all the stuff I've been getting ready for when he is ready for more that Candyland. (You see what I did there? It's all for my son. Think my wife will believe me?)

Now showing more Samurai Marines, Bad Squiddo Amazons, and an Oldhammer Chaos Thug!

Painting total as of 3/28/2024: 21 plus a set of modular spaceship terrain

Painting total for 2023: 79 plus 28 Battlemechs and a Dragon-Balrog

There was a bit of a discussion about the barrels last night and a few ideas for solutions but really it's a limitation of card and the manufacturing process it's just hard to do circular parts due to the cuts. They might well be dropped entirely in favour of crates and if people want barrels they can source them themeselves.

Anyway Colin is aware of and working on the issue.

Good deal. Barrels are very fantasy but its too easy to get them without that wonky shape. Good to hear they're on it!

I do have a casting kit now... i had considered it already

If those barrels stay in with their current form... i'm liable to just keep them straight and make them into a fence row!

Damn your mind and it's thinking, they'd work well as a fence or cheap and nasty barrier.

Still on for the 20th of August

Fantasy Kickstarter

Finally then, as many of you already know, we are preparing our next KS for our Fantasy Dungeon Terrain and are expecting (famous last words) to have this launching around 20th August. Don't hold us to that as things can change quite quickly, but this is the plan. Our KS page is nearly finished and we are looking forward to sharing our next stage of terrain with the gaming world… if they will have us ) Stay tuned here and on Facebook for updates, more sneak peaks and teaser videos )

Whew! That's a real bullet dodged there!

The card used in this looks nice and thick - is the standard for them?

Have they shown what a Stronghold+ stretch goals set can make?

I only recall seeing Stronghold by itself.

So Colin mentioned in the comments that he has already designed a transition set between the Sci-Fi and Fantasy sets. It should be offered as an add on later once sufficient funding is achieved.

This would be excellent. I mean. Come on.

Who doesn't want to fully realize Lost Vikings in 28mm glory!?

Plus that'll be a fun trick for D&D groups, wtf steel walls... flashing lights? Robot KILL TEAMS!?

Awesome, using both together for sci-fi stuff was a goal of mine and a transition will make it even better.
