I was thinking of getting Hammer of Cadia set and the new The Steel Host set to make a 3500pt Armoured Company (using the imperial guard codex and yes inhate there new name deal with it) but i was wondering if is worth doing since is it a heafty £500 investment and i was wondering if it was a good idea and is it over powering? I say this becuase i want to have a fun game for not only myself but also the opposition, i think it is due to it having a massive problem with anti tank weapons and deppatriking but is it still to over powering?

Thats all due to 7th edition making things not the most balanced as there are still a few tweaks to be made (or many depending on peoples views) and all i want is a good game without being like a tau ripetide spammer.

With range you have, you could field a variety of armoured forces and upraye the power or lower it as needed. and most games seem to be below 2000 points so probbly not playing as a full unit all time.

Sgt. Vanden - OOC Hey, that was your doing. I didn't choose to fly in the "Dongerprise'.

FudgeDumper - It could be that you are just so uncomfortable with the idea of your chapters primarch having his way with a docile tyranid spore cyst, that you must deny they have any feelings at all.

Magnetize the guns and sponsons.

That way you can vary the points, power and lists to whatever you need them to be to create an enjoyable game.

The army has a lot of potential to be flexible in that sense.

Thats my advice anyway. With that in mind you should be fine.

Also, if you're a purist - just taking russes - then there shouldn't be much of a problem. Russes are only difficult to destroy with long-range weapons. So long as your opponent doesn't gunline, they'll be fine.

Facing another Tank Company dose sort of turn in to 5 turns of plinking at each other if you bring the wrong guns, this happend to me, funny as hell

Ok what type of baenblade variant should i go for because i was thinking Baneblade since it good at everything with lots of weapons and high strength and good ap weapons included, or the Hellhammer although it has worse range and smaller blast it just like the baneblade but with better strength and ap and due to it worse range you can use the demolisher weapon but i don't know which one to go for.
