How do you all think this will work? This is made all with models I currently own:

HQ
Chaos Lord, MoN, Sigil, CombiPlas, Power Axe - 160pts

Elites

Chaos Terminator x3- Combimelta, Power axes- 112

Troops

Cultist x25, Mon- 160pts

Plague marines x5, 2x melta, rhino- 175pts

Plague Marines x5, 2x melta, rhino- 175pts

Plague marines x7, 2x plasma, champ combiplas, power axe- 223pts

Plague Marines x7, 2x plasma, champ combiplas, power axe- 223pts

(would it be better to drop squad size down and keep them all in those rhinos?)

Fast Attack

Chaos Bikers x4, MoN, 2x melta, Champ Combimelta, power weapon (unsure which would be best for this)

Heldrake, Baleflamer- 170pts

Heavy Support

Chaos Vindicator- 120pts

Defiler, reaper AC, hvy flamer- 195pts

Havocs x6, 4x ML with Flak

I'm still working on my list building skills, and I'm wondering how this can be improved. I also have some beserkers (20 or so, but that'd go against the Nurgle theme), more cultists, another set of DV models, and a land raider in my collection. I could definitely use some obliterators and an ADL haha. Thanks in advance guys!

If I were to give the Plague Marines power axes it would be the melta squads who are much more likely to see close combat.

Also, if you're going to take chaos vindicators, you need to give them daemonic possession. CSM have the best vindicators in the game because of it! Without it, on 6 of the 7 penn results you will not be able to fire next turn or for the rest of the game. With daemonic possession, on a 2+, that reduces to 2 out of 7! They get to fire pretty much all game. Its really a no brainer man

Also, most people I've seen are really unsatisfied with only 1 vindicator. Especially at 2000 points, its going to get trashed right away. Take a backup one or take none at all. Its not the bargain it seems at only 120 points, you really need to support it with Daemonic Possession and redundancy!

Its starting to really come together! Now I think it is time to make some very small adjustments.

BTW, check out this thread that expands on what I said earlier. http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/607867.page

Here's a list of things I thought of:
You could give your lord a Lightning Claw to go with his PFist to give him an extra attack (He doesn't currently get one as the PF is a specialist weapon) and give him a superior weapon to use against MeQs

Putting Marks on Cultists is mathematically noneffective. It is better to just take more cultists as it will allow you to take more special weapons, reduce how often they'll have to take leadership checks from deaths, and they are just flat out more survivable if you take an extra cultist rather than give 2 of them MoN both against small arms fire and especially against high str weapons that will wound on a 2+ against T3 OR T4. ALL THAT SAID, if you want to give them the mark for fluff reasons, don't let ANYONE stop you. Remember Typhus is an option for Plague Zombies.

Your 10 man PM squad only needs to be 5 people for those two Plasma guns, you're just adding meat beyond that. Do you need 8 Plague Marines to protect the 2 Plasma Gunners? Maybe, maybe not. Just a fatty area of the list to trim some points off if you need them.

Combi-Meltas on rhinos are a cheap and discrete way to give your army some anti-armor that your opponent will likely forget about until you blow up his rhino with it.

Some people will argue that Flakk missiles are not a point effective but CSM really don't have a lot of options when it comes to taking out fliers. The only other options I can think of are an allied soul grinder, a dogfighter heldrake with hades autocannon, or an aegis defense line. Up to you really on which one to take but do not ignore fliers, haha.

Digging the vindicators. Siege shields allow them to fearlessly move from cover to cover getting those juicy cover saves against lasers. I think you will commonly see your vindicators firing their cannon 3 or 4 or 5 times in a game.

Thanks for all your tips, I appreciate it! Would it be more prudent to cut the fat from the footslogging PM squad and put them into a rhino?

-edit-

Also, 2 drakes vs. 2 vindicators: which would be the better option?
