First and foremost drop both lords with res orbs. They won't help at all with only 5 man squads to go with. The overlord needs to take a catacomb command barge or get traded for a destroyer lord and wraiths.

Big squads of scarbs are a secondary priority, the first thing you need to worry about is having 9 spyders. Gloom prisims are a good call in 7th I believe because there's really no other way for necrons to combat Big warp charge pools. The 9 spyders will generate 9 scarab bases a turn, that's 135 points. Also it is important to note you really don't need a ton of scarabs to kill most things. 4 or 5 bases will destroy a land raider in 1 turn of cc, or any vehicle super heavy or otherwise by reducing it's rear armor value to 0.

Drop the twin linked particle casters, not worth it. When you go scarb farm you are going close combat so commit to it or choose a different list.

Lastly what are those immortals doing? Give them a night sythe or get rid of them in favor of more cc units.

I agree. The lords with res orbs are useless unless they've got a really big 20 man unit of warriors to go with. If you still fancy the lords, you can always put them with MS and warsxythes for some decent CC. Wraiths with whip coils would be good if you find a way to get them in the list.

Unfortunately as far as buying the models is concerned this is a super expensive list to run. There is no good way to buy canopteck spyders(the new models anyway) no pack or formation box for these guys. You might get lucky with an ebay auction or craigslist buy but other than that they are hard to come by in large number. This is even more extreme for the scarab bases. These are only found in warrior boxes or in a battle force(the necron battle force is still a pretty good buy as far as not having a ton of non competitive models) but this still only nets you a very small number of scarab bases. And since you can't keep adding scarabs if you don't have the models this becomes expensive fast. The only place I know of that sells scarabs separately is forgeworld. And again not the cheapest option.

The troops and lords are mainly here to cover any objectives in preparation for the event that the scarabs can't get to everything. So naturally I want them to survive as long as possible on those spots. And I grabbed the immortals purely because I thought they could survive a little bit longer and put down some decent fire.

I put the particle beamers in purely to get some hits on the enemy during the march up, seemed like a good idea.

And I have actually included 9 spyders and a total of 27 scarabs (sorry if I have made it difficult to read in that respect), also, the warrior squads are 10 man squads.

So that was my reasoning behind all of the stuff you guys questioned, if you still think it needs some work with my reasoning I'll take another look

Sorry if there are any mistakes in this message, did it on my phone in the car :p

I would consider running two destroyer lords each joining a scarab unit to add some serious punch. Of course having lords in your back field would be nice to protect your troops but I would prefer to run a super aggressive list!

I would consider an aegis defense line. Great for hiding the scarabs in middle of board and also good for saves on those monstrous creatures.

Fortifications have to be in your deployment zone now, so less of a benefit here.

I'd drop the res orbs and put the Lords on barges myself.

Scarab farm can make a strong list.

I would run a d lord attached to a scarab swarm and a barge lord to unlock a royal court. I would also run 3x night scythes with stormteks in them.

An adl or bastion with coms to bring the tesla air strikes early is also a good idea.

An adl with a quad gun can also be manned by scarabs for long range entropic strike.

Listen to the advice here.
Particular attention: Those Warriors in the Arks are fine. They do not/should not have ResOrb Lords with them. Massive waste of points if you're not going to use them properly.
And if you don't have a Night Scythe, at bare minimum get those Immortals a Veil-tek.
