BLOOD BOWL AVAILABLE TOMORROW ON IPAD AND ANDROID TABLETS!

Blood Bowl®, Cyanide Studio's adaptation of Games Workshop’s famous Fantasy football board game inspired by the Warhammer world, will be available tomorrow on iPad and Android tablets. From now on, the fierce matches of Blood Bowl will follow you, wherever you travel!

Players of Blood Bowl on PC will also be pleased to hear that they will be able to connect with their account, and play with their teams whose races match this handheld version (Humans and Orcs for the base game, and Dwarfs, Skaven, Wood Elves and Chaos as additional races). Even better, the game is cross-platform compatible, so players on tablets will be able to compete in matches against PC players!

In Blood Bowl on iPad and Android tablets, assemble your team from among six fantastic races in the Warhammer universe. Each race has its own strengths, weaknesses and numerous opportunities to develop which will lend an immense tactical depth to the game. Immerse yourself in single matches in Solo Player mode to enjoy fun, fast games, or set off to conquer the Blood Bowl in the extensive Campaign mode. Develop your team and players by gaining victories and experience as you progress in the game.

In Multiplayer you can compete against a friend on your tablet in “Hotseat” mode, or launch yourself into the vast online world in a massive permanent league where you can create and develop your teams. Play against Blood Bowl players from all over the world on iPad, Android tablet or even PC!

Blood Bowl for iPad and Android tablets will be available tomorrow for download on App Store, Google Play and Amazon!

Does it list the cost anywhere? I'm very interested in this for Android!

Also, does the above imply that the iPad / Android / PC versions can all play against one another (not just play multiplayer online but separately)?

I will be picking this up for sure!

As for price, based on what they've charged for other GW ports such as Space Hulk and Heroquest, I think we can expect it to cost between $5-$15, as they tend to price them on the premium side, knowing they only have a small, but highly dedicated audience.

So, do we reckon this is a pay for the base game with humans and orks, with in-app purchases for extra teams?

It starts with 6 races (see the link in the op). I'm sure the other teams will become available via some kind of in-app purchase, similar to how the PC version added more teams later.

It's listed as 4.99 USD on iTunes. That's a no brainer purchase for me.

Try to buy it and iTunes says "the item you are trying to purchase is no longer available". Probably not ready for general download or something.

Yak: iTunes entry says base game is human and orcs, the rest are in app purchases. I may be misinterpreting your statement, but I initially thought it came stock with all the races listed, until I read the app entry.

Nope, I just didn't read it closely enough.

Fair warning guys... but if you have even a remotely current PC (like... anything within the last ten years), the Steam/PC version of the game is a way better deal.

On sale the game regularly goes for $10-15, runs perfectly now, and features ALL the teams as of the Chaos Edition. You'll lose the portability of the tablet, but end up saving $20+ in nickle and dime microtransactions.

Ya, I checked that too. But ...

Price of Game: 4.99
Micro transactions: 2.99 a team
Being able to play at work and slip my tablet under my work desk as the boss walks up to me and tell him how hard I'm working: Priceless.

Yeah, I kind of guessed that the other races might be in-app purchases; it seems to be the way of things in this day and age.

It seems to be very common to offer the base game for free and then charge for boosters, although this being a GW product (originally), the "f" word obviously isn't going to be a part of their vocabulary.

Do we have any early adopters? What do you think of it? Are the in-game purchases paid through Google Wallet?
