I would like to try out a Speed Freaks themed army and remain true to the name while hopefully having a semi-decent chance of success.
Will most likely be playing straight CSM, maybe Demon allies.
Using two CAD.

Boss Zagstruck
Stormboyz x 20 - Boss Nob, power klaw, bosspole

Big Mek - Warbike, power klaw, kustom force field, bosspole
Warbikers x 12 - Boss Nob, power klaw

Stormboyz x 20 - Boss Nob, power klaw, bosspole

Slugga boyz x 11 - 'eavy armour, Boss Nob, power klaw, kombi-skorcha, bosspole
Mek
Trukk - Boarding plank

Slugga boyz x 11 - 'eavy armour, Boss Nob, power klaw, kombi-skorcha, bosspole
Mek

Mek

Slugga boyz x 11 - 'eavy armour, Boss Nob, power klaw, kombi-skorcha, bosspole

Trukk - Boarding plank

Deffkoptas x 5 - Twin-linked rokkit launchas, buzzsaw x1

Blitza bommer

Dakkajet - Flyboss, additional Supa Shoota

This leaves me with just over 250 points to spare but as I'm out of FA slots I'm not really sure where to spend it.
Would some Lobbas help me out, or perhaps plain old Kannons? I could squeeze a couple of Killkannon Battlewagons in but I'm not certain it's a worthy investment of points. Need advice!
Am I screwed against a Nurgle list?

Mhm i'd rather have some reinforced rams on those trukks unless you play on some plain table
Also you can only have 2 meks as you have 2 hq's not 4.
For the rest 250p i'd suggest atleast a group of 5 lobbas they are just aaaaawesome. maybe some traktor kannons aswell as you lack abit anti air here. If you face eldar or tau the traktor kannons still hit on full BS on skimmers so it's a win/win
It's awesome against flying deamons too.

as for the deamons the lobbas will just obliterate their infantry.
the blitza bomba wouldnt be the best to take against the said army unless they bring a Chaos land raider. and your dakkajet badly needs Flyboss and extra supa shoota ^^

Not quite a plain table, but mostly ruins really and not that much dangerous terrain. I may add on a Ram for tank-shocking after the units have disembarked though.

I took two Mek's as HQ slots as well as the two for no slots, they don't have to use the Mekaniacs rule unless I'm mistaken.

The Dakkajet should have those add-ons (they are must-have, I forgot to write it in the list) so I''ve edited that in.
I'm considering swapping the Bomma for another Dakkajet but the Boom Bombs look pretty fun to use, would it not be worth the versatility? Boom Bombs are S7 though so no blowing up a Land Raider, but I was thinking Plague Marines or Terminators would make a nice target.

I think I will go with Lobbas and Traktor Kannons.

How's this?:

Spoiler:

It might be Str 7 but it has armor bane

I had no idea armourbane worked that way (never had to the chance to use it until the new Codex), I thought it was just another chance to roll to penetrate normally and you picked the highest. So you get Strength 7 + D6 + D6? No wonder you can't give a Warboss a Killsaw.

With my last few points I might give every Trukk Extra Armour just to keep them moving.

Sounds like you are thinking of Tank hunter rule wich now tankbustas have! Melta bombs + tank hunter rerolling

Probably. Tankbustas got a huge buff and a meaningful points reduction, they are pretty sweet now. Just not Kult of Speed-y enough for my list!

Lies! just put them in a trukk! as you can do that now with dedicated transport!

Yep, or buy a BW for them as well. But the Trukk is the cheapest way to do it. Or just take Buggies. I think they end up hitting better anyways.

I only have a couple of Buggies so I had to stick with my 'Koptas instead, they both have their merits though for sure. Personally I wouldn't want Tankbustas in a Trukk, they are a huge target for your opponent anyway without putting them inside a vehicle that's vulnerable to fire from a lot of armies' standard gun.

I really like the direction of the new codex with more dedicated transport options and Trukks in the FA slot.

Would Rokkits or Big Shootas be better on the Trukks? I originally thought Big Shootas but with the Lobbas in backfield extra Rokkits is probably more suitable.

I personally like BShootas better. I seem to get more out of them. I can get a couple hits a turn with them, I doubt I can do that with Rokkits.

The tankbustas are nice to try to get first blood if you go first. To get those quick 2 points. 3 if you are lucky and draw the TacObj to kill a vehicle.
