I'm looking to try out RoS but was wondering who is their beat stick? it isn't clear to me... maybe because I'm spoiled by characters like the Butcher or Kromac.
Care to shed some light for me?
Thanks folks!

Probably Vyros with flank. That or eVyros with a crazy Synergy chain.

Thanks!
Actually I was looking up some stuff on Battle College and maybe RoS isn't for me... it sounds like there's a lot of timing and synergy involved or something. Maybe I'll stick to Cardoor

Ret don't have any single jack or caster that really qualifies as a beatstick ala 3Butcher - they are elves which means they are fast and flexible and are generally viewed as a combined arms faction (every army has timing and synergy involved tbh). Ignoring Hyperion our most dangerous jack is probably Imperatus, who will get 5 POW 19s (with Side Step) with 3 focus and an Arcanist boost. However in an eVyros list on the end of a Synergy chain you could easily get this up to 5 POW 25s (at MAT13 lol) which will happily one round almost anything in the game.
In terms of casters Garryth is up there with 3Butcher and other melee assassin casters if you are looking only at the caster kill - Arcane Assassin makes him very scary for casters, but he is squishy and doesn't have the raw hitting power of Butcher etc so isn't going to solo an army. The real catch is getting him into melee to do it, as he doesn't have a huge threat range.
Honourable mention also goes to the Mage Hunter Assassin. He has relatively low POW, but Weaponmaster and Decapitation means that if your dice spike then that little 2pt solo can easily one shot a caster or put a huge dent in a jack - people tend to freak out when a 2pt solo puts 20 damage on an ARM20 jack lol.

*opens car door*
Car: The door is ajar.
Me: No its a door.
Car: The door is ajar.
Me: NO ITS A DOOR!
Cars doors are actually easy to learn but hard to master.

Car Doors get +2 to their attack roll and automatic boost on their damage roll... Cyclists damaged by the Car Door cannot take their Tough roll. Very Very OP.

Mage Hunter Assasins would be the chief damage dealers in Scyrah. They have stealth, weapon master and a chain with a "4" melee range, So you can easily hit something hard and damage it badly [if the dice like you]
Plus you can take 2, whilst all other ret beatsticks I know are warcasters or character models.

None of these things are beatsticks.
A beatstick is something that can take a large amount of punishment and deal out lots and lots of damage. The most obvious example being any version of the Butcher.

For now, no. They simply do not play like that. Ret are about finesse assassinations rather than the typical "axe to face" MO of Butcher.

Retribution does not have beatsticks in the traditional sense because their ARM is hardly ever very high. They rely more on avoiding hits and killing the target before it can do serious damage, which Assassins do well for their low 2 pt cost.

I usually use the term cruise missile. It will often get to where you want it and blow something up.

The only real problem with the MHA is that it is heavily dice dependent. They only have one attack and can easily miss any of the higher DEF jacks or beasts, and then a low roll for damage and you can easily just bounce off a high ARM jack. You can get around the DEF issue with knockdowns and back strikes, but you are always going to be relying on good dice on the damage roll. In my last game had a MHA charge a knocked down Scythean under Issyrias feat (so auto hit and 5D6 drop 1 for damage) and it did no damage at all.... That said its part of the reason they are only 2pts, if they were MAT 8 or were POW14 (but not Weapon Masters) then they would be absolutely crazy for their points.
