as a long time forum reader, I decided it was time to get to know that game I've always wanted to play but never got around to… WarmaHordes!

Quick explanation as I just deleted the wall of text I put up before:
I bought a second hand Pureblood and Gnarlhorn Satyr (impulse buy!) and want to start from there, haven't got a warlock yet either!
Having scratch built a unit of Shifting Stones and Gallows Grove I have access to both units.
So I will try to choose a 'lock and go for 15 points at first and then 25 and so on…
All of this on the smallest budget I can muster for now!

here are some 15 point options:

Stone keeper
Gallows Grove

All of these list would require to only buy the Stone Keeper, but as I lack gaming experience I can't judge their usefulness.

Going for 25 I think I should get a Heavy Wolf kit giving me access to a Feral or Stalker or is a unit of Druids with UA in it's place here?

Of course I don't mind buying some stuff but it'll be minimal as I still have to get all the basics like rules, templates, tokens, etc…
So trying to get the most out of it! ;-)
Is my best bet the Circle Battlebox? I wanted to get the Circle side of the two player box but can't get rid of the Legion and no one is selling Circle!

Any comments or suggestions on Warlocks, Beasts or units to go with this are most appreciated!
(I hope this shouldn't go in the list discussion topic as it is not really the lists I want to discuss but where to advance from my original 2-beast purchase. Apologies in advance if so!)

For 15 points I'd start with,

pKaya
-Feral
-Stalker
Shifting Stones

Magnetize both heavy kits so you can swap between the 3 options on each.

Then add the Stonekeeper, Gallows Grove, and a Gorax as my next additions.

After that, you'll be looking into Bloodtrackers and Skinwalkers for infantry.

After this, you can safely expand into the more niche Circle options.


The Satyrs should be avoided by a newbie. Don't get the battle box either(Argus and Winter Argus suck the big hairy meatball)

The basic meat and potatoes of any Circle list are a Stalker(or 2), stones plus Keeper, a 2nd unit of stones, and the Gorax(for his Animus)

Skinwalkers and Bloodtrackers(both with UA) are also the basic Circle infantry you'll see.

Any chance we could see the stones/trees? I'm thinking about doing some milliput work myself.
