So today is my Birthday and came to open gifts in the morning to find Chaos army and Daemon army parts were the main bulk of the gifts. Do apologies for the side ways photos for the first two as was not aware until uploaded onto here.



And as you all guessed it by the title, the Blog decided to bring for you all is my most challenging yet to date... The Daemon Prince.



So here is what some of you who know my Blogs enjoy (or thinking enjoy) is the story that goes along with it.

(Story Side)
When I woke, I felt a dark presence lingering in the house, keeping itself hidden from view. Once woken fully, I ventured downstairs to the front room to open my gifts before anything was done, to find one gift felt the same darkness earlier in the morn. I unwrapped the gift to find the face of what was to horrify me, staring directly into my eyes. I placed my other gifts onto it so to not be seen by his eyes. An hour passes since this occurrence and went upstairs to place my gifts into my room, to find that one box was not accounted for... "The Dark Gift" was not to be seen. In a act of worrying that may of dropped it on the stairs, I went back to look to find nothing was there. But when I went into the room I use to prepare models and such to be spray painted, I found it there, staring at me from the plastic board...



Just there... speaking....


Telling...


Commanding me to get him painted and complete....

So it has being set that the 16th August is when this Daemon Prince will be spray painted and ready to had work started on him...

Day 1 since built

Once slept, the Daemon Prince summoned to begin painting, so whilst in mid illness went to answer him to begin work. So here is what progress that had being made onto this Daemon Prince so far.





So far he is displeased by this progress, so more to paint tomorrow to gain forgiveness...

So recovering from an bug that I had caught so had little time to be able to sit down and paint anything today, hoping to do more progress to show you all so least he is not majority just black spray paint

(Story Time)

Had only woken up in a oozy haze of slumber, to find myself stumbling from my room and into the room where the models were prepared to be spray painted to find the Daemon Prince become nearly complete in its first stages of birthing into this realm of existence. Looking down to my right hand, my camera had being placed into it, making me take the images your about to witness in showing his first stage's progression.






He is far from being complete... Must work to regain forgiveness...

So yesterday managed to complete more of the base coat of this Daemon Prince as only a few metal sections, right arm, runes & Wings needed to be done before the base coat is 100% complete.

Day 3

What is feeling like an eternity, the Daemon Prince's wings have being given their first coating as have other areas. But still he whispers to be complete, to ravage the Galaxy of all humanity that fights their gods. Here is what he looks after this coating had being applied and whispers to be seen.

So being over his wings in the first layer of the Scarlet red and being over his skin (part from the top of his right hand as something in store for that), going to be aiming to complete the base coat of this model in the extreme near future (so today or tomorrow depending how I am for time wise) so hope all enjoying this tale so far all as you read through this Blog

Day 4

Began to feel drained by the Daemon Princes pressence as the voices flood my mind, commanding me to continue with the work that had being begun 4 days ago...

His wings of glorification of Khorne began to take more form as the muscles began to emerge slowly over time... The very bones beginning to emerge to the surface of his spine and fierce head to emit his raw strength... Here is the day's progress...





Being in hope of the night to come... "He" leaves my mind to prepare for his ever growing glorification of strength & ferocity...

So today given his wings a second layer of the bright red to prepare it for the washing stage. His horns on his head and bone running along his spine and tail have being given a brown layer to prepare them to be given their next step into bone work.
It is really nice working on the story, do let me know if its really hitting you at the creep bone

Day 5

Oh god... the voices became louder today... Not enough was done to please the Daemon Prince. But being only given mental agony as punishment for this, my work seemed to of worked from giving me physical torture... Here is what he allows me to show you...



This will be a long... Noisy night...

So today not much was painted on him (as had to paint some Necron Scarabs and more work on the remaining Raptors), so only managed to do the loin cloth section of him, giving them to dark grey cloth behind and blown in front slightly and all the metal of the chains with hooks attached. Tomorrow brings an evening of concentrated painting as hoping to get him washed (if gods permit it lol)

Day 6

The Daemon Prince is a kind daemon that repays for acts of work in his will,that is if you do what he sees as enough work... After a long day and evening of painting in his ever growing honour of strength, he has not taken more form in his very bones and muscle... He waits to be completed... He wants to be unleashed... He wants...the galaxy to bathe in his crimson will...

Here is what he commands to be shown to all those who follow his will...

So today completed the stages of bone, right up the final product you see on his bone sections. His wings have now began by giving them a complete wash over the red sections and his left wing has being given the Blood for the blood god coat to give it a realistic muscle look (my little signature on khorne based models with realistic looking muscle effects )

So hope you all aren't finding this Story side of the blog too creepy or scared of reading as they will get better (or worse depending on progress) as it goes along.

Day 7

To what seemed of little work, his Daemonic Prince seems pleased by one of his horrific signs now complete in view to all to see. It seems he has allowed my night to be silent... for now, but how long will it be till he speaks again? He commands me to show you all in the images found inside the content of the "Spoiler" under his will and fear.



His might is flowing from his muscles... the very blood embodying into his first horrific views of his pressence... For a peaceful night sleep... I sure hope I get one...

So today completed the wings 100%, giving them my.. guess its a signature to models that follow Khorne with realistic muscle that is bare to the touch and view.
This weekend is the perfect time to make large steps into getting this Daemon Prince hopefully 4 large leaps to completion with a very nice feature to give it all the more "horror" feel to it. What that is... Now that would be telling would it

Day 8

Another long afternoon and evening... Doing the Daemon Princes will... After a long afternoon, gave his entire flesh a crimson and pure darkness wash to bring his muscles more visible to all who dared go against his will. Here is what am given allowance to show you all by his word...





He hears all that is said and sees all that is typed to us here... It is him that keeps the strengths under control...

So today's progress so far Given him a complete wash of black on the armour sections (apart from sword) and given a 50% Red / Black wash all over his skin to prepare the crevices between the muscles to really bring them more depth. After the wash had dried later today, went to begin the first layer of Khorne Red to highlight his muscles all round his body. Aiming to get him done before end of month if time allows me to any parts that you may of seen still missing paint is going to be done over with an small effect which hopefully once done and washed will really bring all the details together

Day 9

The Daemon Prince moves my hands from now... Making me complete more of his progress to his will and ends, I have done a great service to him in completing his flesh that covers his raw strength...
This is what he commands to show you all and all who fear his look... look into Khorne Incarnate at your own peril...

(Off Story Note = Prepare to see the most awesome flesh effects you'd prob see....in last few minutes if scan through gallery / showcase thread lol)



He is nearing completion... yet still claiming more in his name and Khorne... Feeling a strange essence emerging inside my muscles, but this seems of nothing to be concerned of yet...

So today finished off his skin on his entire body after spending all day applying the layers after layers... after layers lol. So seems next is to go over the metal sections again of the armour done in runefang steel and to rewash the painted areas once done.

Having a lot of fun bringing this Blog and Story to you all over these times first ever Blog to last this long as well with continuous work each day.

I'm not good on flesh tones/
Can do armour, weapons and the like but flesh tones.

Helmets and gas masks are my friends at times.

lol I know that feeling all too well with helmets and masks I prefer them as you can make a mask or helmet look all more "come near me and you'll be in 5 pieces" sort of look to them with much more ease lol

Truth above!
+ the fact I don,t need to buy more flesh tone paints. Budgets not allowing non helmets easily unless they look some what undead....

Aye its hard to get skin tone looking normal on a normal human. Its one reason why I like Nurgle or Daemon as its not normal skin colour so far and add other things to make them look the part.

Day 10

Today the Daemon Prince demanded his power of Khorne to be shown on his body so it may emit to strike fear into the bravest of fools that face him... His runes have emerged into view so it shows his rage onto the surface. Here for you all is to show his runes as he commands me to...



I'm starting to see Khorne in the darkness of night... My muscles ache as he engulfs the room with his pressence... It must soon be time...

So today finally got round to doing up the runes in his blade, left shoulder armour and his legs, but still requiring some more work doing on his sword before he is just about complete
It is so far one of the most visual of my models and certainly gives a sense of "he is staring at you at night" feel to him.
But do hope you all are enjoying the story still (and nothing too predictive or boring sounding) and I have entered the 90% complete marker on him

Day 11

Work is almost at an end to bring the Daemon Prince into our world, just another two hours... He seems to understand but keeping the blade near me... For all to see what has being done here are the few last images he will allow you to see for today until tomorrow...



I feel the essence of the Prince flowing through me... I feel weird around him... Anger and a thirst... Is this normal??

So this is the second the last part of the this Daemon Prince Blog as only the base remains to be painted tomorrow It has certainly felt quite long of a time painting this model, but has being fun to paint it for all the people who like seeing my work
