Have had my trollbloods for about three months now. I have had a decent amount of success with them, running Epic Doomshaper and Mulg. But I'm looking to mix things up and run my list with a warjack,. Raluk Moorclaw, the Ironmonger is my only option. Whats the communities opinion on using Moorclaw with trollbloods? He looks like he could be fun, but is he also relatively competitive? Was thinking of buying a Mule/ Rover and or a Buccaneer to run him with. The Buccaneer seems fun for getting auto hits with a dire troll. and the Mule / Rover seems like it would be a decent set up. What warlocks would people recommend? Thanks in advance. =)

Rover is a mixed choice for him because if his target is in range for a shot it should be in range for a charge but it's high number of attacks is nice for a jack marshal. Mule a would be nice but it's criminally short shooting range means it's either forfeiting movement for range, closing for range, or in melee. Buccaneers are probably the best choice for him and using them to support warbeasts or units with auto hits is the best choice. I would consider running a pair if you have the points for it as they are dirt cheap at 3 points a pop.

*Note, this is from running him with Khador.

It all depends on what you want him to do or if you want to rigidly stick with his background.

I've run him with a Freebooter on a couple of occasions. The chain attack on him makes up for the lack of focus (though being able to use jury rigged would be nice. Merc solo with power booster please!). Though the Rover may not be the best choice for him I'm a bit of a fluff nut and will regularly take Hack with him.

If your force is lacking an easy way of getting shield guard then the Vanguard is a good investment.

Lucky for me, a game store down the road had him in stock. Some on had ordered him two months ago but never came in to buy him. So step one is complete. I called every game store in the valley, and sadly none of them had any mercenary warjacks in stock. I will be ordering some Monday, and will hopefully have a few games in with him in the next few weeks.
