So I've purchased about 9 of these boxes, and the nice thing is they come with a heavy weapon team, the not so nice thing is that the heavy weapon team is a heavy bolter team. Would anyone be opposed to someone running the Vostroyan heavy bolter team as an autocannon team as:

a.) they don't make vostroyan autocannon teams
and
b.) The heavy bolter on vostroyans looks a little bigger than a normal heavy bolter...

Is there a good way to convert these teams into actual autocannon teams? The guy shooting the gun hurts my LOS, as he's laying flat on his belly. Any suggestions?!

I'd be 100% against it in a tournament.

In a friendly game I'd have zero problems letting him do it.

In a pick up game... It would depend. If the guy has got a good rep or is just wanting to test a different configuration I'd have no trouble. If I get a whiff of WAAC I'd say I'd get to change lists to Alpha Legion 30K and use my DV Chaos Lord as a Counts As Alpharius... Oh, and my Predator would be a Counts As Reaver Titan. I mean, it's only fair.

Converting is a painting and modelling question, you might get more luck with your question posted there.

As for conversions, are these metal or finecast?

In either way, it would be possible to clip the end off the heavy bolter and glue on a chopped down barrel from a regular plastic autocannon. You could also just give them a regular plastic autocannon. They're not hard to find as bitz.

Vostroyan only come in metal. Do you think it would look decent eith a autocannon barrel glued on to the heavy bolter?

It would be easier to convert the las cannon team into a auto cannon, simple switch the barrel and mag.
