**Edit* Taken into account a lot of things people have said. Made this dual CAD and managed to squeeze in another FMC at the cost of some biovores mainly. *

This is a purely hypothetical army list, just seeing what could be done and how effective it could be.
The inspiration was as many FMC's as possible with as many template weapons as possible.

Main Detachment:

Hive Tyrant
Wings
Twin-Linked Brainleech Devourer
Heavy Venom Cannon
Electroshock Grubs

Ripper Swarm x3

Warrior Brood
Barbed Strangler

Harpy
Twin-linked Heavy Venom Cannon

Harpy
Twin-linked Heavy Venom Cannon

Harpy
Twin-linked Heavy Venom Cannon

Biovore Brood x2

Biovore Brood x2

Biovore Brood x2

Second CAD:

Hive Tyrant
Wings
Twin-linked Brainleech Devourer
Heavy Venom Cannon
Electroshock Grubs

Ripper Swarm x3

Warrior Brood
Barbed Strangler

Hive Crone

Hive Crone

Harpy
Twin-linked Heavy Venom Cannon

Biovore Brood

Biovore Brood

Biovore Brood

-------------------------------------------

This ends up with -
9* Biovores spamming plates and spore mines to clutter the battlefield.
8* FMC's all with blast or template weapons
2 Warrior Broods with an added small blast each
2 Speedbump ripper swarms

How would you react to/ deal with this army?
What are your opinions and/or criticisms?
Any thoughts at all?

I'd keep devourers on the flyrants to shoot flyers and rear armor.

As Shingen said, TL Devourers with BLW is too good. In addition, TMC's can only equip one Biocannon.

I'd also replace the Venom Cannon on the Warriors with Barbed Stranglers, as it's a larger blast and causes pinning. I only ever use a Venom Cannon in the Living Arterillery formation.

Allied detachments can't have the same faction as your primary detachment, but a quick change is to replace a Harpy with some Rippers and slot them in your current allies, making them another CAD. It might also be worthwhile replacing a group of Biovores or two with another Hive Crone to ensure you still have one when one goes down.

Another Hive Tyrant is cheeky, but you might not be able to find points for it.

Otherwise looks solid

You ought to consider the Skyblight Swarm Formation Detachment; objective secured, respawning gargoyles helps flying formations a lot...

If you really want blast templates, then focusing on harpies is the way forwards - keep the stranglethorn cannons and you probably don't need biovores. Pack some cluster spines instead for twin template bio-spooky-gunship action....

I've never used dual CAD before..... does that simply mean I can take a whole extra roster? so - two 1000 lists basically?

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Holy Mother of God....... 8 FMC's and yet still is raining Spore Mines from all the Biovores

Not much to add, if x2 CAD is not an option, can you fit Skyblight+ Living Artillery? That would fit the concept.
