So, I've only played 2 games of Fantasy in the last, like, 3 years. But those two games, with a list very similar to this, were great fun, and now I'm jonesing to get back in. I have the cash and the energy to burn for now, so it's a good time to jump on it! I've always really liked Lizardmen in general, and the idea of building and painting such a cool and colourful army has always floated around my mind. Now, stronger than ever.

I'm definitely looking for a Monster Mash list; doesn't really need to be all sorts of competitive, just fun to play and lookin' good on the table top. Anyway, I played the list at a tourney and took the eventual winner (in game 1) to within 20 victory points of a Tie, so I feel I can play a good game with it too. I do have some basic questions:

r.e. Saurus Warriors: Spears or HW? Why?

r.e. I'm-Over-By-A-Point: Help????

Thanks in advance for looking.

I'd drop the saurus spawn leaders, or make one big unit of saurus and drop the second full command to fix the points. Otherwise I really like this list, assuming you're not running sotek on those basties.

Thanks!

No Sotek on the Bastilodons, not a fan of that thing at all, unless it stacks with itself..... But the other option is just better in any case.

I did consider making the Saurus just one big unit. With the points, I can fit 34 into a single big block, which is not a number of which I'm really at all fond, it not being nice and round and/or easily chopped into rows of five.I thought of also doing a unit of 30, and upping the Skink units to 12 apiece....? As well as giving the Skink Priest on Engine a Dragonbane Gem for added security.

Cut the light armor on the old blood. With the helm you may not need it.

When I hear "Monster Mash" I think of a veritable mash of monsters. You've got three different kinds.
Aside from that, I think you could benefit a lot from a wider variety tactically as well.

Maybe drop an Ancient Stegadon to get some Terradons, Ripperdactyls, Salamanders, and/or Razordons? Oh, and get Sharpened Horns on those Stegs.
