So, what are the silliest, or most ridiculous (not brokenly powerful) army lists you've seen?
I think the one that takes the cake for me was someone attempting to play Draigowing... at 500 points. He had... what, three models?

I spent over 300 points on 10 rough riders only to kill 4 necron warriors.
Next time they killed 4 grey knights.
So thats 300 poihts for on average 4 basic troop models a game. They have only lived through 1 of those games.
I personally think its ridiculous regardless of what else I have in my lists haha.

I once ran an all Marine Scout Company.
We had to houserule the captain running scout armor, but it made for an interesting (if one-sided) game.

He was doing pretty well until the Flyers came in.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

While not in person, I've seen an all-grot list proposed on here. Not sure if that would include their artillery, but I'm pretty sure that's how you'd get the most models possible on the field at any given points value.

My first unbound list was an all ogryn force lead by good ol' Nork versus a horde of mandrakes with kheradruak. It was a slaughter for the poor mandrake force. I was floored by how well those ogryns did. I prayed the match back with an army of rough riders fighting incubi. To quote my friends after he got the charge after a pair of snake eyes on my part "horse chunks everywhere."

How can you possibly kit out 10 rough riders for 300 points?
You're at 110 for the base, +30 with plasma, maybe +50 for a power weapon and plasma pistol, and what else?

Krieg rough riders with a librarian. It comes to over 300 if I remember my list right. I cant bring myself to do anything with standard rough riders anymore.
If you want to be technical, im paying for the 10 rough riders, adding all the upgrades AND then buying an upgraded dark angels invulnerable save weilding phsyker to try make them work.
They arent too bad... just wasteful.

Full IK army. I personally think an allied Knight can make perfect sense, but running nothing but Knights seems like you auto-win vs certain armies and auto-lose vs others. Your not going to place on top of any tournament you are just going to get match up wins with little playskill being relevant to the outcome, seems super boring. Just an opinion. Silly way to play the game.

I don't know if I'll ever get to build it, but an army of 14 SAG big meks on bikes sounds like the stupidest list in the world. I'm not too good with statistics, but I believe on average you'd lose 1 big mek to a SAG misfire per shooting phase.

While not an entire army of silly, I find this unit combo hilariously good fun to use:
Herald of Tzeentch w/Greater Locus of Str = D6, Mutating Warpblade, Lesser Gift, Lv3 all rolled on Divination
18 Horrors inclu Champion w/Etherblade + Muso + Icon.
Yep, that right, ASSAULTY! Pink Horrors.
Surprisingly, they do pretty decent at it too, and it's an absolute when they manage to pull off S6! for a turn. The Tzherald is inevitably meant to be a Spawn factory, challenging those Sergeant and the like and then mutating them into something more properly Tzeentchian on a 2+.
Just for lols, I've even given this unit a single turn of the re-rollable 2++ save shenanigans vs. a friend's large unit of biker Nobz. Nothing quite like seeing Pink Horrors of all things laying the beatdown on a deathstar unit!

I meant silly as in funny, I've seen someone make an IG army out of grots, calling them the Grot Rebels. When I said an army of grots, I meant exclusively grot mobs. THAT would be silly.

At this last BAO I got matched up against a guy who has 3 knights and 2 Dark Angels Land Raiders with scouts + PFG Libby riding inside. They all castled up for the 4++.
