Hello all!
Today is that start of our "a tale of 4 gamers" challenge which will run from now until the end of November.

The aim, if you haven't heard of this sort of thing before, is to build and paint an army and expand it over a few months. We will be starting at 650 points and increase to 1250 in October and 1850 in November. Games will be played at the end of each month and bonus points will be awarded for various things. After the 3 months the one with the most points wins (although the main aim is to get a whole army finished)

So what are the armies? I will be building a black templars army, Rhys will be building a chaos marine army, so there will be plenty of rivalry, Lewis has put his wolves aside in order to make an ork warband, and Owen, also known as the dark lord of the end times, also known as "sir" in games workshop, will (most likely) be doing grey knights on the grounds that they are "easy to paint"
I will link their threads as I am sure at least two of them will be making their own thread.

Don't tell anyone but I might have cheated and started a little early last night and drilled the barrels on my bolt guns.

The first one went horribly wrong...

*TIP - When drilling bolt guns, drill the barrel first then the side vents second or what you see above might happen

But after that the others came out just fine...

Looks good! I've never drilled the barrels. I'm about to build a squad of chaos marines, I really should start

Drilling barrels and magnetising is always something I thing "yeah I should do that this time" but the laziness takes over, but not this time!

I left the crusade squad till my cork sheet arrives so I can pose them on their bases, but in the meantime I've built my Reclusiarch and am basing him with some pink insulation foam board.



I cut a base sized cylinder ans carved a slop on one side and make it look more like a rock.







It's hard to see but once he's dry I'll add some sand and you'll be able to see how the chaos bloke looks like he's half buried and the chaplain is standing higher up above him on a slopped rock.

Yo, got 'nother update; not much is finished cause I keep jumping between units but nonetheless here's what I got...

Black Templar parts for my Rhino (which I have begun building)

Finally received cork so starting to base my units (one more marines added!)
