Is anyone else eagerly counting down the day till release? I'm really hoping Infinity will get a little more exposure in my area with the release of the 3rd ed. rules and such.

I know I sure am! I keep looking every day at my order thru miniature market thinking "please ship already!".

It will be my first steps into Infinity, and I can't wait to get to painting those minis.

I'm quite excited to clear my current project and start digging in, I hope to teach a few people to play via it's simple intro missions!

Seems my gf is pre ordering it for me to get the extra copy but to have as a Christmas present so I will be counting down the days until Christmas.

I need more time... to paint. Its been a couple weeks since GenCon and I have only had time to assemble, prime them all and finish one of them so far.

I friggin' can't wait either. I'll be taking the Nomads and my brother will be taking the Pan O. I also have uberfallkommandos on the way and should arrive at the same time. I got a lot of work ahead of me!

I'm having somewhat better luck painting eyes by doing the before the rest of the face, then you can paint larger areas and clean them up later which is often easier. You can make the whole eye area black first and then paint in from the corners with white till it's the right size and shape. Anything beyond that is beyond me, I know some of these crazies can do the faces so they look like they've got eyeshadow and makeup and stuff...

I don't even attempt more than a wash in the recesses for eyes yet.

Can't wait! Do we have an actual release date for this? Or is it just sometime this month?

Well from what I've heard it depends on location. Europe is supposedly looking at ~15th or so while the miniature market is saying late Sept/early Oct here in the states. But that's just conjecture.

Gonna work on mine after another 4.3 shasvastii minis.

I'm not the best painter but I'm still learning. Seems most of my time is spent in prep than actual painting. LOL! There are probably about 20 Infinity miniatures, primed and ready to paint in the lineup and then I switched to Operation Icestorm as a priority. Hoping that it works to get my wife into more miniatures than board games. I ran out of painting time but almost finished one of them, still need to base it. The rest still need some touch up done on them.

You going to be playing it with the wife dark? I plan on giving the misses pan o and trying to learn the rules and play the game with her.

I have a group of friends that meet every other week for gaming but yeah initially will be playing with the wife. She ended up picking PanO so I'll be playing Nomads. My daughter and son are starting to paint miniatures so they'll probably end up playing. Although my son prefers to build the battlefields... he is looking for to the Battle System scifi set so he can make some scifi corridors and buildings.

My gf & I are learning together. We both come from a 40k background with some others mixed in there.

I have been interested in Infinity as the mini are fantastic and skirmish games are more my style. I do not have the time to invest in a massive army 40k style game.
The idea of getting my wife to play would be win win! How succseful have you guys been? at the moment my wife spends the evening watching tv and I spilt time between an MMO or painting. Would be great to have a games night with her. I might show her Icestorm to see if the style of the mini's appeals. She has a great geek side so might be a entry game for her. Would love to here other peoples experiences!

That's good mate. Painting or playing together is a far better bonding experience than zoning out in front of the tv I imagine.

The battle system set does look nice.

My girlfriend enjoys the painting side ( she also likes nail art so their is lots of cross over there.) I was painting one time and my girlfriend was bored so I gave her a brush and one of my miniatures and told her to join me she painted it enjoys it and paints with me once on a while too.

So far the only thing I have played with her is the gears of war board game, we had a lot of fun and plan to play it again but sadly the learning the rules was a large time investment and we didn't manage to finish the game. Still had fun though.

Just tell her you would really like her to play and paint with you and ask if she is willing to give it a go. Tell her if she likes it she can have one of the ice storm teams. If she feels bad about taking something of yours just say you would rather have someone to play and paint with than two forces. Just make sure she doesn't feel forced or pressured into playing or painting.

Remember as well that if the stuff on the tv isn't particularly compelling you can both paint while watching tv. I often paint in the living room on a cheap dinner tray.
