Yep, the best would have probably been just outplaying the knigts in a point game. Killing 1-2 is possible, but to aim to kill all of them requires a certain type of a list. The bird rush was a huge mistake i think. And that's what's lost you the game and not failed sieze and little luck with oblits and summoning. You'd eventually have spawned enough daemons if your bird had been alive.

And i do agree with you - such games ain't very interesting cause you have only this much tactical flexibility playing a mono-model list of knights.

I like your sorcerer and lord models, are they designed to be centaurs? Nice idea for bikers lol.

Chaos is my friends army(his blog). I played the Knights for this game and wanted to share his brep because my army was in it.

Possibly have another game soon with my Mech Blood Angels and something else of his. Knights are easiest army to transport to the store we were set up to play and I just finished painting and basing them so wanted to get a game in with them. He wanted to see how his 1500 point list would do in a tournament setting against an all Knight list.

Yeah they are centaurs.

Well a great report still and I have to say if you hadn't seized on him, I think it could have been a completely different outcome. Hope to see more from the two of you soon!

Thank you. I will let him know what kind of responses I get or you can always comment on his blog.

He left out just before the roll

he said. Do you wanna roll for seize?

I said "Sure, lets see if I can ruin this game with 1 dice roll." Rolls dice.

It could have been much different. I do agree with his assessment he deployed way aggressive. If he had gone first I would have likely gotten the first assault so that could have changed things up as well. I like the new missions in that they are never truely one sided(at least in the games I have played so far). The point system kept game close for the 3 turns.

Is the knight warlord a character?
It doesn't really matter with big bird - as a seperate unit he can be picked out anyway - but I didn't think he is.

Might matter more for a 'normal sized' model as he can hide behind stunt doubles...

The warlord knight doesn't gain the character attribute just because its a warlord so can't challenge.

Also sending the LoC against the knight was a terrible idea. Even if it did take the staff it's only glancing on 5+ which is not good so it would never to kill the Knight in combat. Even with the rerollable invul and 6 wounds the LoC was still going to die way before it killed the knight. It needed to also roll the armorbane gift if it wanted a fighting chance.

Big bird challenged the Knight Warlord. Not the other way. Warlord is a character per the faq. http://www.blacklibrary.com/Downloads/Product/PDF/Warhammer-40k/7th-faq/Imperial_Knights_v1.0_May14.pdf

The idea for his LoC was to make me attack his bird and try to save wounds with his Inv. and have the screamers and lord do the killing. He was hoping to not just have me strD him and kill him in 1 turn.

Seriously, I can't believe you conceded, whilst ahead on points.

Easiest way to beat knights is to go after objectives. they can't control the board in the same way.

I was the Knight player I didn't concede. I also had 2 cards for objectives I could have scored the turn before. I just went after killing guys.

Nice report and pics! Your paintjob on your chaos models is very good.
