I am a new player using convergence of cyriss, I have trouble understanding how syntherions feat work and how is it useful? in relation to using an modulator.

Well the first part about charging for free is obvious. The next part is basically giving you a turn where you can make use of your ranged weapons *in addition* to the free charges, even if you are engaged.
So you charge up (for free) and wreck stuff. Then whether you killed your target or not you get to make attacks with ranged weapons. Sort of ups your overall attack output and allows you to put some pain on things that might be in position charge you next turn.

So when feated and after charging you can use those extra ranged attacks to shoot at something else? thats the one your engaged with.

You can shoot something else or the one you're engaged with. If you shoot the one you're engaged with though you do suffer the appropriate penalty for firing into melee.

Weapons Platform lets you make both Ranged and Melee attacks in the same activation, but you'll suffer "in melee" penalties as normal. And you still need to make initials before making additional attacks or you'll lose the remaining initials.
