My question is would it be better to leave out the peasant bowmen and take a unit of 5 errant knights with musician instead. I'm fairly happy with everything else.

I like the list but I think with some modifications it could be better. I will highlight my thoughts below each of your choices.

Replace with a lord/Damsel. A prophetess is to much to run at this level. Give lord/Damsel magic equipment to taste. IMO a Damsel would be better.

The must have BSB, but I think you should drop some of his gear and keep him cheap and cheerful, maybe consider just a charmed/enchanted shield.

No keep the bowmen for the watch tower scenario. I think you have enough knights at this level of points

My 1K list isn't massively far away from this. I played it for the fist time yesterday and had a barrel of laughs.

I didn't win by making horrid tactical errors involving overunning when I should have reformed - charging the wrong things and not charging when I should have. Also treb = Not even once. Also I got flanked. Also I couldn't ourun zombies with knights. Zombies.

The prophetess was actually pretty tasty - even vs a 3 caster vamp list. Did alot of balls to the wall casting/dispelling dice selections (fried her poor brain pretty good - but nothing is as fun as sniping lone wizards with comets of Cassadora... just brutal).

At this points level - maybe there is an argument that BSB can be kitted out as I used my less kitted out one to challenge shank other heroes with some level of confidence, though this might not work all the time....

Are you running a 3rd turn charge strategy?

I think it would depend on what I'm facing but yes generally with 2 trebs in points this low I'll sit back and let my opponent come to me until the charge distance is favourable.

Had another idea... what about 18 men at arms full command instaed of bowmne or errant knights?

It would have a moderate chance at taking the gut punch at this level - that I am assume you are wanting it to take for some rank and flank?
