So I have been trying to put together a 2500 list, and I feel it would be a decent/fun list to play, tell me what you think!

Now my total is 2595, any suggestions on how to reduce to 2500? I am thinking of dropping a squad of horms/terms

The Tervigon and Trygon are not competitive at this points level, drop them and your under your points level. If you drop the Tervigon, no point having 30 Termagants, so could drop a few or them all together.

Raveners are outclassed by Shrikes, since they provide mobile Synapse (Boneswords with Lashwhips are good too, ration of 1:2 BS/LW : RC works well) but Shrikes are generally inferior to Gargoyles.

I'd also remove the Deathspitters on the Warriors for a few extra points, especially if they are going to babysitting the longer ranged Biovores and Exocrine.

I'd also look into another unit of 2 Dakkafexes as well as putting Adrenal Glands on the Mawloc so you can have 4 S7 Attacks on the charge perfect for taking out Transports.

The Zoanthropes should ideally be split into two groups for more Warp Charges, so something like:

Flyrant with Wings, TL Dev's x2, Egrubs 240
Flyrant with Wings, TL Dev's x2, Egrubs 240

Hormagaunts x20 = 100
Hormagaunts x20 = 100
Termagants x20 = 80
Termagants x20 = 80

Venomthrope x2 = 90
Zoanthrope = 50
Zoanthrope = 50

Shrikes (2 BS/LW, 3 RC, TSx5) = 220

Carnifexes x2 with Twin Linked Devourers = 300
Carnifexes x2 with Twin Linked Devourers = 300
Mawloc with AG = 155

Living Artillery

Warriors x3 with Venom Cannon
Biovores x3
Exocrine
=390

Total = 2255

So from here, you can go for more Fast Attack options, such as more FMC's, Gargoyles or another unit of Shrikes. Personaly I would go with three units of Gargoyles or maybe two units and a Dimachaeron.

You could also start upgrading the Termagants and Hormagaunts but in general for Tyranids bodies are better than upgrades.

EDIT: Just realised you wanted a fun list to play - if that's the case the Tervigon may work out for you but I still recommend it. The Trygon has to go though, it takes up a Heavy Support slot that is bloated with good options and for 10 points more, you get the insanely better Dimachaeron in the Fast Attack slot.

I can understand the trygon, he did get hit hard in this edition, and understand about the tervigon, so if i get rid of them, and 10 from each terms, I have: 2130.

Add another group of dakkafex for 2430.

Personally I love my raveners, they always seem to do good when I use them, Will proxy some Shrikes to see how they do!

Oh don't get me wrong, I love Raveners too, best models IMO.

It's just Shrikes just do a little more in CC I find, as they can take AG, TS and Boneswords.

I am inclined to try Deepstriking Rippers with thorax mounted Weapons and see how well they perform though

Your changes look good though, two units of Dakkafexen will compliment each other nicely and present more high priority targets to deal with (and who doesn't like spamming S6?!)

Oh I meant to put Deep Striking Raveners

Deep Striking Rippers work now that Swarms score, for 45 points you've got a unit of three bases, which I think have Stealth.

Granted their leadership is 5, but they work outside Synapse and are Objective Secured.

Even if they eat themselves, it's only 3 hits as opposed to 10+ for Hormagaunts and they are naturally Fearless, so the opponent has to kill them all, very useful whe you consider only Troops can contest their objectives.

you'll most likely find them in Skyblight lists, since Termagants and Hormagaunts (the cheaper troops) require babysitting

I can see why then, If i ever do skyblight, may have to try it!
