Hello once again (more noob Malifaux questions),

I finished reading through the fluff for the 2E rule book and did some background reading on stuff and it seems there is a lot more fluf out their! I was just wondering if someone could give me the order of the other books that actually have fluff in them. Also if there was a cheap way to get them that would also be nice (I would rather not spend a lot of money on outdated rule books just to get some fluff). Any help is appreciated, I just want to know more about Malifaux!

The first ed Malifaux rulebooks have a good amount of fluff in them and give you a feel for the world. You can get PDF versions of them from DriveThruRPG for $7 a piece.

The 1.5 Rulebook, Twisting Fates, Rising Powers, & Storm of Shadows is what you're looking for.

Alternately If you're the type who likes paper the Wyrd webstore sells them for $7.50 plus shipping.

Past that Wyrd has been releasing this quarterly online magazine for years called Wyrd Chronicles. They're up to volume 13. It's free. in their download section.

Other than that you can nose around their Wiki page. Written by players, sponsored by Wyrd. It's a work in progress and contains mainly information on the game's pieces themselves and how they play. However there's fluff scattered about.

Hope that helps. I asked the same question about two months ago.

Ok, thanks for all that info! Does the 1 vs 1.5 have different fluff as I only see the rules for the 1.5 rulebook. Also does the Twisting Fate, Rising Power and Storms of Shadows actually have rules in them or all fluff (The more fluff based those other ones are the better)?

I only have the 1.5 rulebook and have never seen the 1.0, so I couldn't tell you on that. The expansion books probably have expanded rules in them (never paid that much attention), they do have rule so much as there are new characters in every book and the rules for them are in there. Past that it's stories for every chapter and short bios (counts as fluff to me) on every new character presented in the book.

I haven't read the 1.5 rulebook, but the expansions all have linear expansions of the narrative in them (standard sort of fair of some being one-shots, some introducing new characters, some expanding main stories), except for the ten thunders book, which IIRC mostly introduces new players and happens chronologically before than the previous one.

Reading through all the fluff, you'd start with Wyrd chronicles 1-3 IIRC, then the 1e rules, then start reading other WC (they didn't support their magazine for most (all?) of 1st edition).
