Today I played a 1550 point game against Nurgle Daemons and I got crushed big time. The only thing good that came from it was the battle between Abadon and the Great Unclean One. Was a nail bitter but I lost in the end. Anyways I'm looking to merge some of my tau units into the khorne army to give it some more dakka. I spend turn 1 and 2 in transport so o figure for a cheap price I can get some long shots from my table edge.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'm looking to bring the pain next game. If needed I can supply a list of all the units I have at my disposal to help you guys brain storm ideas for this list. This lost puts me bang on 1750 points

Well this is tough. You don't have many of the commonly considered "best" units out of the codex.

Firstly I would consider what you really want to do. Is your goal to keep the theme but tweak the units? If so then I have suggestions. If you're open to changing the theme or god you're supporting than there are tons more things to consider but for now I'm going to assume you want to stick with Khorne CSM.

That being said there aren't a ton of great cc options for you.

Be'lakor - huge badass, gives you some much needed physker help in the form of guarenteed access to invisibility
Maulerfeinds - cheap and effective they can break vehicles and kill monterous creatures with relative ease. Has move through cover and fleet.
Spawn - don't underestimate these guys, with invisibility and perhaps a lord on a juggernaught or bike they are a fast capable melee unit, again prime target for invisibility.


For troops just put cultists in reserves or hide them on the field

Forget tau if you want cc, but if you insist on bringing them bring the fire support cadre formation. That's more a take all comers thing than fighting more deamons but it's really good.

So I've being playing with more ideas and I've updated the list. I do want to keep killing for the blood God but I want to add my tau to shoot him for a distance and knock him off objectives.
New list is.
