Are you doing any sort of conversion/creative building with them? I'm interested to know if these new minis offer the same level of potential for dynamic/natural poses as the current Tactical Squad; looks like they will, but any insight you can offer would be appreciated.
As for myself, I plan to really get a move on with Mortarion this evening. The scythe is pretty much finished up, as is his cloak, time to get cracking on the main part of the mini.

Painting my model for the "Warped" Painting Challenge at my local GW.
6 colors, randomly chosen, and no primer can be showing through.
My colors?
-Hashut Copper
-Naggaroth Night
-Ogryn Camo
-Fuegan Orange
-Casandora Yellow
-Fenrisian Grey
It's...interesting. I'm dubbing the Necron Overlord as "Lord Bling" or "Lord Pimp". Because he is freaking gold as all get out right now.
Additionally, Copper washed with Orange? It looks nice!

*sigh*
If I ever do get it done, at least they'll look nice :-/
I feel ya there, buddy. I've only completely painted two of my Ravenwing bikers, and they look like garbage compared to the stuff I paint these days. I just can't motivate myself to paint them...I don't know why.
My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/1/23, including modeled wargear options):

The MK IV plastics are as dynamic as the current vanilla Tactical boxed set.
Right now the first squad is just plain-Jane bolters all round, I may do more with the second squad, but I'm not that big on converting Marines.

Good to know. The current Tactical box really is a gold mine for creativity, so if the new 30k plastics are on par with that then I shall be a very happy hobbyist as and when I pick up a BaC box..

Played a game on Thursday. (Just getting around to posting it here) Played in a swamp with hills. Such odd terrain really changes one's tactics. Good thing I brought my aquatic jack!
Not seen in photo is Swamp Castle. The first three sank into the swamp, but the fourth one stayed up. And we were fighting over a beacon, which I now remember was grail shaped.

Lol, nice!
I'm starting some weapon conversions on Heresy Miniatures troopers. For ease of chopping and resculpting, currently wondering if bullpup SMGs are a thing, or a contradiction in terms.
Today I've been making random greens. A lady in a poncho. A merc in winter gear. A heroic fallout type character. Plus an astronaut. No real aim or purpose with any of those other than sticking on random shapes and seeing where they go. I may go back and make another astronaut which looks a lot more Mad Max like actually.

Starting to work on clearng my paint desk of part finished projects. told myself nothing new will be started until all the WiP is finished.
Todays contribution is 8 25mm French Napoloionic Dragoons (mounted) to finish that unit off. Follows yesterday finishing a 15mm Soviet infantry platoon and Thursday seeing six Su-100 actually finished with the weathering done.
Also managed to get the last two transports for a British 15mm artillery battery done, seriously given how little time they will be on the table we have 12x artillery tractors, 6x trucks and 2x carriers... but no one will be able to ignore Sir Poncenby-Smythes artillery by getting out of sight of it again!

I definitely want pics of those.

Having fun with Word Bearers. Kor Phaeron, Mhara Gal, Erebus, Diabolist, Praetor, Destroyer Sergeant. I'm thinking of using some Dark Vengeance Chosen on Terminator bases to use for a Gal Vorbak squad.

My last game was in the middle of the week, and was a 5v5 with my Masons against Morticians. I lost 12-2, but there were some moments there when I definitely could have gotten the score a little closer.
Today's game was a swing in the opposite direction, 5v5 with my Masons against Brewers, and I won 12-0, with two goals and two knock outs. The game showed how well Masons can play both the bashing and the scoring parts of the game, if you can get the right combos and synergies off.

French Dragoons, based still to finish, models are from the Perry twins and are very nice
British Artillery Mechanisation, not the full battery as its all packed away and I don't currently have space to set the whole lot out..
Colours are not strictly speaking correct but I like the bronze green so went with it even though this lot would have been repainted by the time they reached France.
Soviet armour, battlefront models
Finally Soviet Infantry, basing still to complete but at least the models are painted, finally.

Today I'm working on Kabuki's not-Vulkan. Base and the green armour is done, NMM gold is getting there, next up I need to make a start on his cloak and the silver NMM.

After hmmm-ing and haw-ing about it for a couple of days, I am going to put some magnets on my Tau Commander. Then the painting can begin in earnest. Mostly I'm doing this because I'm not sure if I want to use a Buffmander or a Mark'O, so this way I can do either with the same model.

Nice day at Warfare in Reading. Spent yet more money I shouldn't have spent. Had a very interesting chat with Ainsty Castings. Got awarded a medal for getting the lowest score in the FoW beach assault participation game. I managed to get half my soviet troops killed in a game that was heavily weighted towards the soviets. So many 1s and 2s rolled...

On Sunday, I was playing as my pirates in a massive game of X-Wing.
Things did not go too well for me. Turns out that a scenario where you're surrounded by 2 enemy fleets, each larger than you isn't the most balanced game in the world...

Bwahaha, but you're dashing pirates! You should be able to make it work! Damn, that's a lot of ships at noce. If I had the raider I could probably duplicate it, almost, but it's a lot at once!
Today I should be painting, but I just got a Razer Tartarus so I may be fiddling with that... though...might get some work done on zombies.

I just played a game of 40k earlier this evening. I lost, but it was a fun game with some fun rather than ubercompetitive lists and units. I'm gonna try to finally get a move on with my Tau Commander, he's got his magnets, now he needs some paint!
