Hey all I was wondering what the best/Most popular wargame conventions/shows are in the UK?

I ask this mainly as I'm considering inquiring to trade at some shows, if anybody has experience trading at these shows I would love to hear how it was.

Any information, links etc. will be great.

Thanks for viewing and your time.

P.s if this is in the wrong forum I'm sorry .

Salute is the big one in London, claymore in Edinburgh, but there's one most weekends over the summer somewhere

While not a "wargames" event Scale Model World http://smwshow.com/ is pretty good.

I found Salute rather too busy and somewhat costly to get in. Shows like Warfare in Reading are more to my tastes, and that's not a small event either. It's in November.

I do think that Salute is something that should be experienced at least once though.. the sheer scale of it, and there is just so much stuff there. I think the Beasts of War crew had the right of it in their coverage, just accept that you aren't going to see everything on show, and just take your time and enjoy the bits you do get to see.

The Bovington Wargames show in the summer is a good one also, especially as you can tie it in with a visit to the quite excellent tank museum they have there.

I've been to Salute for the last three years and its massive. Pacific has the right of it. You'll never get to see everything, so it's best to narrow it down to what you want to see/play.

I may well spread my wings a bit this coming year and try to get to a few more.

Salute in London (April), Partizan in Newark (June / September) are the two I've really enjoyed. There's also Derby World Wargames Show (October) at Donnington, but I didn't like that nearly as much as Partizan.
