Not bad at all, pretty balanced Warriors of Nurgle list with just the double 'cannons pushing the envelope - but counter-balanced by low magic and other less optimal choices (lord and more than a single warrior block). So I approve heartily

The one thing I would reevaluate is the lord's gear.

Filth Mace has been pretty lackluster for at least a couple editions now, and honestly I'd probably just go with a great weapon on this dude, with the poison gift if you really want the poison. You've got a magic weapon on the BSB, magic weapons on the knights, and the heckcannons I think are magic too, so plenty of anti-ethereal support. Leave the S5 to the knights / warriors and let the lord get his lumberjack on!

I'd also dump the knight's Warbanner in favor of another pack of dogs (with or without vanguard depending on the points). +1CR is fairly unimportant on a unit that will likely be winning combat often but having to grind through enemy steadfast, which couldn't care less about that extra pip of CR. If you keep a banner on the knights, how about Discipline? LD10 for everyone around the lord is pretty groovy (and I think you'll still have doge points after dropping the Mace down).

Alright, I dropped mace for the GW and an iron curse icon and swapped the war banner for discipline which left me with exactly enough points for another vanguard warhound unit

I'd also swap the filth mace for a halberd or great weapon. It also helps against elves in challenges, in case they are carrying the Dragon banner.

Might also be worth giving the knights a champion, so your Lord can wail on the rank and file instead of crushing a unit champion.

I'd have to drop vanguard on one of the warhounds for the champ but that's not a deal breaker.

In the first list your lord is just 6 points less than Twiceborn. There is no way your Chaos lord is near Twiceborn's level. So I would drop him for the big guy or if you can find the points Deamonspew is even better (heck he's better than the 1+ Prince).

I don't like Halberds and Shields on warriors makes an already expensive unit too costly.

I prefer Dawnstone on a 1+ guy over the 5++ as it generally works out better and is cheaper. It means he just swallows S4 attacks with impunity.

For me Blightkings are vastely superior to Knights and are cheaper though that leaves you with a lack of speed. But you've over spent in Core which is costing you here.

Double Cannon is good and different.

Take the Magic: The Gathering 'What Color Are You?' Quiz.

Yes my Colour is Black but not for the reasons stated mainly just because it's slimming... http://imperiusdominatus.blogspot.com

Shields on Warriors:

Against S6 and less missile fire, you're taking 16% less wounds. That means the shields pay for themselves after around 6 armour saves.
When you're spending that many points on one model, +1pt for +1 armour, even just against shooting, is a good idea.

I guess I should have specified that I'm not running an End Times list this is just regular WHFB hence the lack of said character and Blightkings and I'll see about the usability of the dawnstone in my area as magic tends to be prevalent I like the ward save to give me some sort of defense against things that might get through

You don't need to be playing End Times to use the Characters though.
