The eldar list would be as least overpowered as possible. Only taking as few wave serpents as possible. Maybe two? And one wraith knight. The rest is up for debate.
The space wolves would be pod heavy with dreadnoughts and thunder wolves! Maybe a couple of flying transport

I still vote for orks, Andy.
On a more serious note, space wolves.

Space Vikings or Space Elves...decisions, decisions.
I'll go with Space Elves because Light Blue doesn't seem like a fun color to paint in over and over again.

What if I wanted to paint my eldar light blue
I would just hate having an advantage over my friends by spamming op units. Can you make an eldar list avoiding spamming wave serpents?
Maybe something like this?
Farseer - 100
Spiritseer - 70
5 wraithguard - d-scythes - 210
5 wraithguard - wraith cannon - 160
2x wave serpent (scatter lasers) - 240
2x3 jetbikes (s. cannons) - 122
8 warp spiders - 152
Crimson Hunter - 160
2x2 warwalkers - scatter/star - 280
wraithknight - 240
34 models total - 2 characters, 10 heavy infantry, 8 jetpack infantry, 6 jetbikes, 4 walkers, 2 tanks, 1 MC, 1 flyer

From playing Space Wolves for well over a decade, why not both. But if you have to choose 1 go eldar, a lot more interesting, guys in power armor gets boring really quickly.

From playing Space Wolves for 20 years, go Eldar. The Wolves have always suffered from a lack of internal balance that the Eldar don't have to deal with.
No matter what you want to do with your Eldar, the units are aggressively priced enough and mechanically sound enough that you can make it work. The same is not true for the Wolves.

It's funny, most people who play wolves or eldar usually play the other (including myself).
Do both, using allys.
get 3 drop pods, a dreadnought, a squad o' grey hunters, and some thunder wolves.
spam eldar for the rest.

So it seems that even space wolves players reccomend playing eldar?
I was worried about a power armoured armies getting boring.. as someone stated above!
are there any units in eldar that are potent in combat?
How good are the crimson hunters?? Automatically Appended Next Post: Im not really wanting to ally an army to be honest. Id rather use a stand alone codex
