I'm exploring different optuons for lists and am generally torn between which transport. Generally speaking, what seems like a more beneficial load out for the points when read?

Trukk or Wagon?;
-Battlewagon, 3 Rokkit Launchas, Grot Riggers, Ram with 15 Tankbustas. 330 points
Other option;
-3 Trukkz with Ram and Rokkitz loaded with five Tankbustas in each trukk. 300 points

Also curious as to thoughts about this;
-Battlewagon, 3 Rokkit Launchas, Grot Riggers, Ram with 19 boyz and a PK nob with BP. 305 points
Other option;
-2 Trukkz with ram and rokkitz with 11 boyz and 1 nob with pk. 284 points.

I really feel like if I want to slap a force modifier like a painboy in something then take a Wagon. But after those HQs are selected I almost always want the trukk units.

Does this sound wise?

Not sure if you even want to be taking that many upgrades on your battlewagons. Take 1 rocket so that a "weapon destroyed" result doesn't totally feth you over but other than that, they should be turbo boosting to get boyz upfield and then tank shocking. Dunno how effective rams are, really. Those points could go to a boarding plank instead.

As for actually answering your question, I think with the tankbustas you want the amassed shooting of one unit to make sure they kill what they're aiming at, whereas splitting boyz into MSUs can work if you run upwards of 4 trukks.

All hail Krull and his glorious new regime!

Personally I take a big unit of boyz with a Big Mek with KFF, Battlewagon pretty bare besides 1 Rokkit as poster above said, then I take Trukks for everything else which I deploy around it-that's my "assault wing". For the purposes of other units like Tankbustas or Lootas who may benefit from a protective Kan, I rarely find that I ever want more than a barebones Trukk as it will inconvenience shooting enough to get the job done while not taking much of a chunk out of my points.

"Got you, Yugi! Your Rubric Marines can't fall back because I have declared the tertiary kaptaris ka'tah stance two, after the secondary dacatarai ka'tah last turn!"

"So you think, Kaiba! I declared my Thousand Sons the cult of Duplicity, which means all my psykers have access to the Sorcerous Facade power! Furthermore I will spend 8 Cabal Points to invoke Cabbalistic Focus, causing the rubrics to appear behind your custodes! The Vengeance for the Wronged and Sorcerous Fullisade stratagems along with the Malefic Maelstrom infernal pact evoked earlier in the command phase allows me to double their firepower, letting me wound on 2s and 3s!"

"you think it is you who has gotten me, yugi, but it is I who have gotten you! I declare the ever-vigilant stratagem to attack your rubrics with my custodes' ranged weapons, which with the new codex are now DAMAGE 2!!"

"...which leads you straight into my trap, Kaiba, you see I now declare the stratagem Implacable Automata, reducing all damage from your attacks by 1 and triggering my All is Dust special rule!"

I have to agree keep your trukks/battlewagons minimal in point costs. Give them a boarding plank and thats it. The full throttle it across the battlefield to dump your Orks so they can get into close combat as fast as possible.

I can agree
Battlewagons in game for some reason have a blind intimidation effect. Usually they're they top priority of the anti-tank, and as a result usually don't last that long. So load em up with boyz, slap a big gun on it and drive it into their ranks.

I would prefer trukks as you can flank easier. Coming from two to three different sides you have a better chance of getting your boyz into combat then with one wagon eating up every anti-tank gun.

If your measure of 'good' is the current financial year's numbers, you may not agree. But if your measure is
the long-term survivability of a great cash generating business that still has a lot of potential growth, then you
will agree.”

I love you guys thanks.

My next investement is a full warbikes unit with KFF big mek on bike.. which I have, and a painboy, whom is gething slap chopped onto a bike this weekend.. this whole unit is to supply 5++ to 2 wagons and several msu trukks..

My novice painting abilities tremble at the idea of painting a unit with a vehicle and infantry paint scheme.. I need to practice vehicle painting on my kanz I think

I actually find painting vehicles easier than troops. Although Ork vehicles are tougher simply because they are so broken up. On the flip side though you can do a pretty bad job painting an ork vehicle and it will look ok because it is so broken up.

Good Luck!

Painting bikers isn't that hard, it's just incredibly tedious. Do them in batches of three to keep your spirits up haha
