I'm very new to 40k and I'm having a little trouble making a solid list. Any feedback is appreciated.

20 Warriors with Vargard

10 Immortals with Telsa

5 lychguard with Nemesor in a Night Scythe

5-7 Scarabs

Start with this list as your core. This is the competition level core.

2 Overlords on Catacomb Command Barges (SW, PS, MSS, WS)
2 Night Scythes with warriors or immortals in them
2 Annihilation Barges
2 Ghost Arks with 5+ warriors in them
2 Crypteks of the Storm in the Night Scythe
2 Crypteks of Destruction in the Ghost Ark

Customize and make swap in/outs from that core.

Some points . .
Do not use Lych guard. They suck.
Scarabs are solid.
Tomb blades only shine in Maelstrom style games. I like them with no upgrades.


Some ideas
Maybe swap out an overlord for a unit of wraiths and a destroyer lord?
Deathmarks are good especially in a Night Scythe and with a Cryptek of Despair.
Mini Scarab farms are great and fun, especially on tables with lots of LOS terrain.

If you want to use Nemesor and Vargard instead of the Overlords on the Catacomb Command Barges, you could try running a teleporting list with Crypteks of the Veil in addition to Vargard. Its good fun for Maelstrom.
