I've been messing around making a "perfect" Ravenwing army.

I'd like some second thoughts on lists that would render the list ineffective so that I can edit this list further.

Don't mix the weapons on the squads. You just loose effectivity if you don't combat squad. You don't want to shoot a melta at something that you want to shoot a flamer at and vice versa.

Bikes aren't as good in CC as one might think, so Melta Bombs is rather meh - attack bikes with MM are a better bet, since they can reliably meltarange a vehicle on turn 1 (12" deploy, 12" scout, 12" move).

Your 2 small squads are a bit vulnerable to loosing the meltas with the first wounds - rather get another big squad and save some melta's. If you really want a suicide unit, get a Landspeader that DS behind the enemy with 2 MM's for 70 points? Cheaper and more effective.

This doesn't make sense. Melta bombs are totally independent of combat ability. Bikes are a good place for them as they have the speed to get to cc.

That said, you can get 2 MM attack bikes for 5 points less than the squad of 3 bikes, who have a much longer effective range and more wounds. You might want consider a few. More scoring ability too, though more potential victory points to give away.

well it kind of does, since to use them you have to get close where the opponents other units are Maybe I was a bit too abstract in my thoughts, but melta bombs imo are usually just a "where do I put those 5 pts" thing.

Thanks for the inputs. I'm going back and forth with the melta distribution. I just happen to like this particular set up because it gave me 4 more meltas and points dead on @ 2000.

However, what I'm interested in hearing are army lists that would shut this list down.

The most widespread counter is inquisitor servo skulls. They will prevent your scout move and keep your army away for longer.

Wraithknights will be quite difficult to take down. You will be relying on plasma talons, and rad grenade + a lot of bolters.

I can see imperial knights being a challenge too.
