I'm making a list for a 2 vs 2 game, 1000 points each. This is what I have in mind so far:

Canoness - stock

SoB squad x5 - Immolator w/ TL-MM
SoB squad x5 - Immolator w/ TL-MM
SoB squad x5 - Immolator w/ TL-MM

Avenger strike fighter - stock

Knight paladin

950 points

As you can see I have 50 points to mess around with. Here are my current ideas. How would you spend these points?

i) Give the sister squads some special weapons: 2 squads with 2x meltagun, and the other with 2x flamers.

ii) Give the avenger 2 autocannons. Leaves 20 points remaining.

iii) Change one SoB squad into dominions and give them 4 meltaguns. Leaves 5 points remaining.

Who is your partner in the 2v2? Might help with the deciding. Either way, I would probably put some special weapons on them.

Note, I am not really a Sister's player, but always wanted to play them

I would beef up your HQ choice. A cannonness is an easy target for slay the warlord with her low toughness, so mantle of opheia to give her eternal warrior. Rosarius to give her an invul, and condemnor or combi boltgun to give a little extra punch

Dominion for outflanking/scouting melta goodness. Cannoness can go sit out of LOS in a corner or something.

I don't know about spending 110 points on a canoness. That's the same a space marine captain on a bike, which is faster, stronger and much tougher.

If I were to spend more I think I would go with Uriah, as he is by far the best HQ choice available imo. However his benefits are wasted on mechanised MSU builds like this.

Ha yeah I wish that wasn't the advice I was giving though. I used to play sisters before they got the new codex (I sold my army ), and for lulz I would run a completely decked out cannoness (probably wasn't the most competitive, but it was fun) with a jump pack and run her with seraphim and then split her off to go kill something nasty. I can't remember how all the wargear and Act of Faith interactions worked out, but I do remember that by spending a few Faith Points on her, she could reliably tango with an Avatar and come out ahead. lel

If you keep don't upgrade any battle sisters to Dominions, you could spend 5 points upgrading a battle sister squad to a sororitas command squad. That means +1 Weapon skill, attack, and leadership.

The dominions are better than a command squad imo, and quite possibly the best unit in the codex. Scout/outflank and ignores cover act of faith are much more powerful on a meltagun squad than extra attacks and WS.

The command squad act of faith is pretty mediocre if I remember right.
