OK, I know uber competitive scenes this list will struggle due to the severe lack of troops for objective secured. But it's chaos. Who cares about objectives? Much better to simply stop the opponent from grabbing them by murdering everything that can right?

I posted a similar list up recently. It was the first time I've ever included a heldrake. Having bought and built the model yesterday I have to admit it's one of my favourites. So I did a bit if reading on their rules and tactics and have realised this thing is a beast. I know it's not quite as dangerous as when the weapon counted as turret mounted. But it's still a beast... So I decided I wanted 2. A kind of theme of this list. So let me know what you think. How it will fair. And importantly where it will struggle. There's very little room for change. I want to know how people would fight this list.

It is debatable whether crimson slaughter can ally with CSM. I know the supplement says so, RAW is it possible? I'm curious as to how other people rule this as I play the supplement as well!

Not bad. It will come down to people's ability to stop AV14. If they can't, then the bezerkers will reach the enemy and should eat anything they catch with the lords there to assist.

I'll be honest, I'd take the cultists and retool them with a heavy stubber and autoguns. They're not going to be playing skirmish screen as there's no way for them to keep up with the main assault, so the best thing they can do is find hard cover with an objective nearby and stay there firing the odd pot-shots at the enemy. Certainly the shotgun won't do you much good.

I don't understand why this is in question? It says so in the supplement. So of course you can..

And I can throw in a heavy stubber easy enough. But the 8 points for auto guns will probably be more difficult to come by? I don't really want to drop anything else.... I did contemplate losing all gifts for more bodies.... But I like the potential of the gifts.... So they're staying! Haha.

I would love to play it That way too, but the argument seems to be that the supplement clause is invalid since you can now ally and be battle brothers with chaos anyway, by taking 2 CADs. They are allies and battle brothers only in relation to the Ally chart itself. There is nothing lifting the Different Factions restriction in the Allied Detatchment FOC.

Yeah, I suppose I can see the argument. But I'm 99% sure of the way I think it is intended to be played. And that is rat you're allowed to ally. But perhaps I'm just picking the answer I like.....

Perhaps a YMDC thread is required?

Personally I would take off the power fist and terminator armor on the aobf lord because you are going to want to sweeping advance with him. Keep your cultist cheap. Heavy stubbed is OK but why bother with autoguns. Use the points for more cultists. If you want a powerfist put it on the zerk champs. You won't need the claws if you have kharn or aobf lord both ap2. I usually put on a power maul. Str 7 on the charge and an extra attack is lovely. The only problem I get is charging out of landraidr and killing unit first turn of combat then having to stand and get shot during opponents turn.

When in doubt do what seems hardest

Yeah, the sweeping advance is an issue. The reason for his load is the desire to field the zuhfor model but not take him as zuhfor. A ton of world eaters iconography on him makes him an almost auto include in a themed army...
