Now I'm looking at picking up Circle and Minions as my Hordes factions (I can't remember what my signature says so that may say different, I'm a very fickle person but I've decided now). Someone mentioned that Circle really get good use out of Minions models (particularly Gatorman Posse and Croc Doc). Are there any casters in particular for Circle that appreciate Minions models?

Also, in terms of our own units... What ones are any good? I've heard Reeves are pretty crap, and Skinwalkers are good (as long as you take the Alpha!) but as for the rest, what will see the most use?

Thanks guys.

Swamp Gobbers are pretty much the only Minions option I've ever seen a Cirlce player take. Though you'll want to pick up the Sacral Vault as soon as it releases. The Gatormen Witch Doc Croc is very useful as he makes a unit tough and undead which is very helpful in certain match ups, but you won't find a slot for him in most of your lists.

As to circle models, the first units you will buy will be two units of Shifting Stones and a UA. After that it's playstyle, but I'd suggest Druids then Bloodtrackers.

I've never sen Reeves on the field, but one of my local Circle players use Skinwalkers in his Krueger2 list and seems to do fairly well with them.

Well I just ordered my 25pt Mohsar list, and I also ordered a Gatorman Posse (and Barnabas) to make a start on my gators. I might try the Posse with Mohsar, because them and the second Gallows Grove takes it up to 35pts. I know there's better lists but in terms of models I have, I'm sure it'll be playable... Right?

Thanks for the tips in terms of our units. I bought one set of shifting stones and I'm sure I'll pick another one up soon.

Circle has a broad selection of infantry but what you end up doing with them is very caster-dependent. Mohsar particularly likes to have cheap small-based Faction models (Wolves, Bloodtrackers) for Sands and to take advantage of Curse of Shadows; other than that he doesn't get too much utility out of infantry or help them much so self-sufficient units (Skinwalkers) are probably better.

The problem with doing Circle/Minions is that our best infantry caster (either version of Morvahna) doesn't interact with non-Faction models at all and does terrifying things with friendly Faction warrior models. Consider looking into Rasheth in Skorne if you want to to gators and another faction, Skorne run gators better than gators run gators.

Well I'm gonna be playing Gators as their own faction, I was just asking about using them with Circle while I expand them, so I get some use out of them now. But yeah the Paingiver Taskmaster does good things for Gatorman Posse, and if I ever play Skorne I'll definitely be trying Rasheth.

Mohsar and PKrueger probably get the most out of having gators in their lists since they've got stuff that interacts with friendly non-Faction models (Curse of Shadows and Lightning Tendrils, respectively), every other warlock cares about faction models or doesn't care about infantry.
