LOL... there is a reason they make face paint instead of having oyu use normal paint...

use oil based if you want the look for a few days, acrylic like GW will come off with some good scrubbing, but I doubt it would feel good on your face, ESP if you sweat at all.

do you have a mother/sister/girlfriend?

use her make up instead, and flour or baby powder also does a decent zombie effect

Well, im away at college, and I didnt bring my car. So no going out to get anything and my girlfriend/ sister/ mom are all 8 hours away. Itll only be on a small area of my face, so im hoping if I do it even if it feels weird itll be fine.

There is nothing wrong with acrylic paint on your face, so your citadel paints will be fine.

Most of your facepainters use Apple Barrel or other assorted craft acrylics to paint kids faces.

You're fine.

Thanks, just put it on.

1.) Acrylic paint is "safe" in that if you get it on your skin you probably won't die, as long as you avoid your eyes. Of course, cleanup might be problematic, I have no idea how it might stain if left on for a long time.

2.) That being said, none of us are doctors, so if you do die, it's on you, dawg.

You sure about that? I've seen my share of carnivals and fairs and I've never once seen anyone use acrylic paint on a child's face.

I use a brush to scrub dried paint off my hands after painting, it might be quite hard to get a lot off your face. It would be better to get actual face paint I think...

Yes.

Is there other stuff designed for the skin?

Yup.

Is it more expensive?

Yup.

I will, however, retract "most facepainters" because I have no idea if that quantifier is representative.

I used it before. It comes off fairly easily. No more than a couple days and a few showers.

Yes.

Well, I guess I can't argue with you linking me the manufatcurer of a paint site that repeatedly says their product is neither recommended nor designed for facepaint. Well done, OT, the bar has again been lowered.

Anyway, using acrylic paint on your face probably won't kill you, but it's going to be much harder to remove, and might give you a rash.

When I paint I regularly use the back of my hand as a temporary palette and to remove excess paint and I've never had any adverse side effects. But I've never suffered from skin problems anyway.

You'd be better off getting actual face paints, miniature acrylic paints are much more expensive I'd imagine.

Also, a two minute google search would have solved this question.

Apparently, acrylic paints are not safe.

Read that same article. As I dont have face paints at hand, and that article pretty much treated it like id get cancer If I used acrylic paints, I figured it was better to ask here specifically about GW paints.
*Edit* actually it was a different article that treated it like cancer, that one wasnt as bad. But you get the point.

It will definitely stick to cloth. But skin is a funny surface because it constantly sheds, so it will fall off fairly quickly.

Its less damaging than super glue.

From a father whose daughter thought it was a good idea to paint herself with Citadel paints: it's safe and can be washed off. Serves as a good lesson at the same time when you gotta brush that color off.
